Cleopatra was either biracial or multiracial.

Cleopatra's father was Greek and his wife an African queen.

She was more than likely a combination of African, European and Middle Eastern.

The true Egyptian queens and kings of Kemet were all Africans.

But Cleopatra was most likely mixed racially because Alexander encouraged the mixing of his troops with all the lands they conquered. This was a way of making sure his men and the conquered nations bonded so the empire which he started would be cohesive and not prone to uprisings.

That's because of the Arab and European incursions in North Africa.

Ancient Egypt was an African civilization.

The original Egyptians were unmixed pure black folks.

Stop worrying about the past (seriously you can debate Pharaohs all you want, it still doesn't pay my bills) and start focusing on the black community and the strides we're making in the present. For example, the contributions of contemporary Black engineers, programmers, entertainers, leaders in medicine, leaders in the communities, etc.
Start seeing what's around you everyday, and be proud. History is just that.....history

I don't see any other community trying to move foreward with no knowledge of history.

No need letting A-rabs and europeans steal our history/achievements.

Then let's focus on different history. Every group of people have been enslaved and treated like shit but they rose above it and moved foward. The Greeks, The Romans, The Chinese, andthe Jews all of them rose above it.

We rose above slavery too lil fella.

Fuck focusing on a different history..tell that shit to the A-rabs and Europeans.

Africans are resposible for the greatest civilization in the ancient world...all Black people should know this...that's better than letting others take credit..as they have and still do.

I don't need to focus on that to succeed. I don't need to look to the past to see where I'm going I look with in. Despite whatever credit anyone wants to take for somebody elses accomplishments I'm still going to strive to do my best. All history is written from a biased perspective so saying that we know whether any of it is true is a farce. I just want to concentrate on my skills and develop my own talents so I can be a good example to others and be in a position to help. That should be where we put our attentions. Who conquered and occupied regions that are considered North Africa and the Middle East are of little consequence because in a few short generations someone else replaced them and continued to do so until here we are. That is the current nature of man. To dominate and control is something we do it doesn't matter race or religion so I allow others to focus on that but ill spend my time making me and others around me better.

So if that was the case then Cleopatra would be light-skinned by today's standards and African-American women would still be bitching 'cause she wouldn't be dark like Alek Wek.

There are more important things to bitch about in the black community than this shit. What about the black on black genocide. Need to make a movie about that one.

I think the reason for the complaint was there was so much whitewashing and distortion of history especially by people who don't want to mention if a person has Nubian blood. Especially by Conservatives.

There is no Black on Black genocide...lol

Fuck outta here with that shit.

Brown folks are slaughtering one another like animals down south and even THEY have sense enough not to call it Brown on Brown genocide.

    Fuck right outta' here.

Andrae09, check out the thread I created in the Politics forum on the "black genocide" going on in the black community of abortions and crime. Denial is the greatest disease of the black man.
