When I first saw it I thought it was funny. Yes it does perpetrates a stereotype but that is what comedians do. But I never understood why a old white lady would clinch her purse if a black man walked by? I know its a natural reaction to do something like that if you feel scared but in reality I could take that purse from that lady if the purse was surgically attached to her body. Her clinching can do nothing from preventing me from taking that purse if I wanted to.

Too many Black comics base their acts on the 'White people are racist' dynamic, like RIchard Pryor in the 70s.

If you're gonna go that route, in the 21st century it helps to be a little more insightful and nuanced.
