When will you say goodbye?

So i was just sitting here, chilling, drinking my beer and thinking (you know me). And as my thoughts swam inside my head, i began to get a little concerned about my time spent posting on this here site. I wonder if my real life will just slowly fade away as I spent all my night time hours staring hollowly into the glaring screen, building empty, elusive relationships with people I will never see or know. WHOA! Okay there, damn. Before discorvering these message boards/chats/etc, the only reason I used the Internet was to buy shit and talk to my family on msn, get directions, locate things, research, etc.; never been one to "socialize", ie. chat rooms, message boards and shit. But in the past few years, this board became an addiction of sorts (lol) and thus has consumed countless nights and now, look, it is almost 2 am on a "tuesday", and I'm posting AGAIN, when i know my alarm is set to 6am and my work day will be so stressing :(. So here is my question: How long do you think you will be posting on this site?, As in, if you could provide a specific date, when would be your permanent departure? I know there is a scheduled "board" meeting in vegas (w/e), which btw is too far for canadians, but is this meeting even gonna take place? And if it doesnt, how long will you post on here knowing you will never truly meet the kind spirits we got this site?

I don't see the point in setting an arbitrary date to just stop posting. I have no idea when I will stop posting, but I imagine as long as the people remain largely enjoyable I'll stick around.

I'm curious why you assume people will never meet? I know several already have, and I doubt they'll be the last. I also know several members are set to meet in August, but as to who all exactly will end up going, who knows until it actually happens? There are some truly wonderful people here, and even if you never meet any of them in person, they're still wonderful and enjoyable to interact with.

yeah just knowing there are like minded people out there is very helpful to me. I'm pretty much invested at this point.

Don't have a set date. When it gets boring, or when I get too busy(which I won't be too bust to get on the internet), I guess.

I would say, let it flow... Do, what you like to do at this moment, you never know, what comes out, when you start something. Maybe you meet some one, you feel that it is worth of it to go over your "planned" limit- or not. Or you sit in front of your PC every night and suddenly you meet some one in a restaurant at lunch time, just around your corner, you fall in love with. I assume in that case you will forget about us all immediatly. Or you will post on wwbm till you are 60 yrs old.. who knows?

To have control is nice, but if you want more, you have to trust others , but mostly yourself.
People construct a wall around them, to protect themselves, unfortunatly most of them forget that they lock up themselves in first line.

I don't know. I just come and go when it gets boring or when I have better things to do. I'm sure one time I'll go on hiatus and completely forget about the place and not come back but for now, I agree with Christine - let it flow.

i'm one of those said people who will be meeting up in vegas, and btw...it's not too far as i'm coming from australia. as far as i'm concerned, i know that there are two people who will absolutely be there...joanie & geeky. i speak with them about it and know that it is going to happen.

as for this place, well it is an addiction of sorts and i'm completely hooked. i've met some unbelievably amazing people here and love the relationships that i've been able to develop on and off the site. as for how long i'll be here for...who knows...??? take it as it comes i say.

    ^^ what she said. :smt003

and i have to add, i think the addiction comes in waves...when i first joined (2yrs ago), i was having to get my multiple daily fixes - then i left for over a year. it just depends on the person. i imagine some folks will still be posting threads when they're sitting in the nursing home, rotting away. :smt024

I'll leave when this place becomes annoying. Either the topics, the people, the monotony or whatever.

People have and do meet off the site. That's all I'll say about that. ;-)

Vegas is definitely happening. The more the merrier. I'm excited to be meeting Tarshi and Geeky. :-D

And I'm with the rest, I've become "friends" with many people on this board, and I'm happy I found it. I'll post on here until I don't anymore. :smt023

Hey Jordan, i totaly see where youre coming from, in fact i dont even know what i was thinking when i made that post? LMAO I was clearly drunk. haha. But take a look at the nice tags im receiving, "dumbass negro", hah. hysterical.

I doubt anybody will take "saty's way out" (where is that bitch anyways?)

But as I stated, still, these past months have been a "wwbm.com" intoxication for me, as i can honestly state that ive been on here atleast 3 nights a week; which got me thinking, just how long will i post here and if this site persists interestingly and webmaster never deactivates it (will he?), am i (and you) gonna post here until we reach old age?.

Just think about this, the internet will never end. It is here until the end of humanity; so this site will always be a mere click away. How can we say goodbye?. As long as there is an internet connection, we will always be wiredly-connected, and the main reason this site is the way it is, is because it has become a simple and foolproof manner for us to bolster our penchant for posterity.

This website has provided a simple mean to socilaize/document our minds and our "intellect", and not just for ourselves but for 150+ people who visit daily, many who have never even met us in real life. We can show people pictures of ourselves, and just how sexy we are, and suddenly, with this information, we can have a girl in timbuktu who could relay said details to her mother, if only she were bold enough to admit to her that she avidly talks to sexy young black men online.

The whole understanding of this though, is that as we keep posting, there will be women out there in timbuktu that will carry patent memories of our sexiness with them for some time and some might even have a "crush" on us. But after many years of posting and taking a look at our own "profiles" as well as these women, we start realizing just how long weve been postng, and thus we start feeling a lil old, actually a lot old

What the fuck am i trying to say? I honesty dont know, haha I just felt like saying I'm 25 and have been posting here since 21( HOLY FUCKING SHIT )and though I never realy spent much time posting, Ive got to know quiet a few people in here and it frequently makes me feel old, to just remember that ive been posting here for 4 fuckin years. eh?

How old do you feel ??

Hasn't this site been here since 2002? That seems pretty long. How many trolls have come and gone. Let us ponder. And for the record I never tagged anything in my life. :p I have thought about it.

I will probably stop posting when the actual owner of this laptop can't afford internet access any more and pawns the laptop for a few extra bucks. But I'll be back again someday, just as I have returned now. :)

You can't set a date...because, once you have learned about this place, you can never fully ignore it, you will always remember it. It's something like an e-train stop, there are people of all walks of life coming and going (although a lot of them have a lot in common lol). You stop taking hid train, but it will always be here when you decide to stop taking the e-bus lol.
