Yeah its looking like I'm gonna have to do that but its unfortunate because I do enjoy reading everyones posts. Just because we don't get along on one subject doesn't mean I won't enjoy what they right later ie Karma and Chi. For example.

 

"You've been warned" == bait. It means "now, if you really do leave me alone, it means you're intimidated by my warning".

It leaves you in the power position, because if she leaves you alone, your interactions end with you in dominance. If she doesn't leave you alone, you can justify anything you say to her. It's win-win for you, but you've degraded yourself to silly game playing.

This is what you are communicating. It may not be what you intended to communicate. That's why I'm posting, to say "Did you know this is what you are communicating?"

If you actually want someone to stop interacting with you, be neutral in your request, so you both leave the conflict on level ground. Otherwise, your request is just another argument.

 

Well you know I :smt049 Karma and Chi, and I can't imagine ever putting either of them on ignore. But I think at the point you read someone's posts and you're irritated more often than you're informed, it's time for the ignore feature. I also think that some people will just continue to needle you even after you've called it quits, and I know it's hard not to respond, so just not seeing their posts is helpful.

 

I know this has nothing to do with this thread, but I had to stop at Walmart today. Lawd, why did I see a Muslim wearing a Burqa (amongst all of that Walmart attracts). I respect all religions, but I felt like I was in some parody or something.

 

I feel you on that but I'm a realist. Women of that caliber normally go out with men of that caliber so be of that caliber. You're options are only as plentiful as you are successful.

you may get a 6 figure after a few years but it also you may not get it if you work for the FEDS. the feds can be a great place to work tho.

Oh yeah it takes at least 10 years experience to get there but it's attainable its not a far fetch goal. Shit even in the IRS you can make that around a Grade 15 I think. So CPAs can make bank and that's not including tax season. I do a minimum of 5 grand per tax season and thats only because I have a big work load, if I had extra time like the VPs I could easily do 20 but at that point who needs to do extra work.

 

Yeah I got my degree but did not work in the field ( I was an underwriter and that was a fucking mistake). Im going to go back and get a masters in education to teach math. that should make me very flexible in getting a good career.

I hope my masters in education with a concentration in math would work well with my acct degree. I have heard good things about math majors going into the business world

I did it as a commuter student but I enjoyed it. I left with very little debt although at times I think I should have went to Stern it would have been a great opportunity for me.
