Us New Yorkers are praying for this. I'd buy season tickets if he goes to the Knicks. It's down right embarassing not to have not seen a championship in my lifetime.

No matter how it goes down, as long as there's another championship banner added to our stadium, everything will be fine.

I have faith in us to finish the series.

That was definitely a low moment for Chris Rock. Especially the way the camera showed him and Spade joking and giggling towards their right, then they panned over to Kobe who is about three times bigger, totally focused on the game and absolutely oblivious to Chris Rock and his antics. I'm surprised that they allow people to have tickets that close to the bench who try to interfere with the players.

how would anyone know who is going to go over the edge? nobody would have ever guessed that chris rock would have tried to pull such a stunt during the finals. a regular season game, no biggie... but seriously, why would anyone bother to f**k with someone when they're in the brightest spotlight of their career? that's a clown move.

It also shows Kobe is focused like a laser. I dont think that is his inherent or innate character.... but I think something that he has developed as he gotten mature thru the league and playoff.
The person who has that kind of cold inherent laser focus instinct is Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Also Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger got that cold instinct, the governator did not even want to go to his father funeral a week before his body building competition, he said it was a distraction, lol.

nice term. agreed, this dude kobe does not want to come up short by any means this year. he was disgusted when they lost to the celtics a couple years back, he is not trying to repeat that failure. go Lakers!

Doc Rivers, is he the 3rd, fourth Boston celtics black coach?
Is he the 2nd, third or fourth black NBA coach to win the finals?

Off the top of my head: I think KC Jones and Bill Russell coached the Celtics before Doc. Lenny Wilkins won a championship with the Sonics.

Me too but here's how I see it.

It took a record 3 point shooting performance from Ray Allen, a Rondo triple double and a bad Kobe Bryant shooting night for the Celtics to win. I can't see that happening again. Especially not in the same game.

i agree but here's where you gotta be careful.
    (1) the Lakers still had an opportunity to win game 2 and just couldn't pop the right shots at the right time. plus the point guard play is still a major mismatch. they should consider moving odom to the 1 to space the floor.

    (2) even though it took great shooting from ray allen and a beast game by rondo, the rest of the celtics did virtually nothing. pierce is due for a big game at some point and kg the same. so even tho lakers can put ray in check they can't assume the rest of the squad will keep suckin.

main thing for the lakers tho is to keep the ball moving on the offense. they looked out of sync often in game 2. artest needs to figure out consistency. and odom needs to put some legitimate points on the board. and bynum... smh... please trade this stonefoot bamma in the offseason. lol
oh yea... get gasol some more touches. they have no answer for this man right now!!

    go Lakers!

The Lakers still have a lot of work to do.

They had Game 2 in the bag, but the combination of Kobe's foul troubles and a scoreless last 5 minutes of the game was the clincher.

We need to close out 4th quarters like nobody's business.

"They" say this is a '1st quarter game'. As in, whoever wins the 1st quarter, wins the game. I'm almost starting to believe it...
