World cup starts in little over a month. Who do you think is gonna win it?
I think Spain and England are looking really good.

I hope it will be England but we have serious goalkeeper problems. You know when your first choice is nicknamed 'calamity' it isn't the best start...
    I'm going for Brazil.

Brazil is a safe choice. They always do well.
I actually think calamity has improved as he has got older. Not as many mistakes nowadays.

*If* you Brits get past that vaunted foe in the first round (ahem...GO USA!!)
I expect you to go far, otherwise, keep an eye on Italy and Brazil they both look solid.

I know, choosing USA or France is kind of hopeful lol
France shouldn't even be in it! But losing to China is shocking!! I didn't actually watch the game, was it awful?

Yeah the cheating French definately shoudn't be at the world cup. I was shocked Henry did that though.I've always thought he was about fair play.
Its crazy though in this day and age that such an important game can be decided like that.Maradona did it back in 1986, you would have thought something would have been done by now to prevent something like that happening again. I felt really sorry for Ireland because they played so well that day.

About the game, the French were just plain awful.I only watched the second half, cos I forgot- I was too busy on this forum debating on that crazy thread. The game itself was quite dull, the French never seemed to get out of second gear. I think there was a lot complacency..
And the goal China scored was crazy. It was free kick, and the guy kicked it straight and the ball swerved all over the place. I think they may have been using the new ball that all the goal keepers are complaining about.

I am expecting a bag of goals in this world cup..cos that ball is something else.

Another thing, what the hell is going on? So many of the top players are getting injured.

    Injury list:

    Mikkel - Nigeria
    Ferdinand - England
    Beckham - England
    Ballack - Germany
    Drogba - Ivory Coast
    Essien -Ghana.
Italy - Pirlea( Touch and go)
USA - Altidore(He might make it.)

Wrote way more than I wanted too, but hey I am excited its the world cup.

Late edit: I hope England dont get complacent when they play the USA.

Raul, thats a pretty solid choice. A lot of people are over looking Argentina because they had a pretty bad qualifying campaign. They do have one major plus going for them, they have the worlds best player in their team. Did you see/hear about what he did to Arsenal in the Champions league? Guy ripped us up single - handley, scoring four goals. I have never seen one player demolish a team like that. If he performs, I fear for everyone.

Brazil and Spain - Definate semi-finalist in my opinion.

Australia are grouped with Germany, Ghana and Australia in the group phase of this summer's tournament. Castrol Football's 2010 FIFA World Cup Group Predictor gives the Socceroos a 47.7 per cent chance of surviving the group stage.

that's good to me...!!! don't rule us out

Australia are gonna do well to get to the second Round. Thats not the easiest group. Lets hope for your sake that Cahill doesnt get injured.

Yeah Arsenal is my team...hard to watch. I'm also rooting for U.S., hopefully they make it out of the group stages. You have to set the bar low with them lol.
One thing is for certain the South Africa team is gonna get killed. A miracle will be needed to get out of the group stages
