Stalkers on board

I hear you on this, and I always wondered why register if you don't plan to post. But a few of those people IMd me before I took down my info and so I've chatted with them a bit and it's the first question I asked. The answers are almost always the same, they don't want to be criticized or ridiculed. I find that odd because although there are a few strong personalities here that do tend to do that, and then there's the trolls who pretty much always do, I don't see it as a highly critical environment. But some gave me really specific examples and I'd have to conclude that if I only happened to visit a select number of threads where that was occurring, I might think that too. I always try to tell them most of the regular posters are really great people and I thoroughly enjoy them, but apparently the negatives are more persuasive than the positives. I find that really unfortunate because this is supposed to be a forum where people interested in, or involved in IR can come for support, information, etc. and clearly some people don't feel comfortable here.

But I completely agree on your suggestion to take the meet up info off here, that's just good common sense on your part Bookie.

 

on here i dont have stalkers i believe.lol but there's another site where i noticed some regular visitors that creep me out a little bit. Most of them never even write a word.A few times i decided to stop by and just say hi to them.Lol most turned out to be nice people

 

I think some register just to have access to the parts of the board that can't be viewed without doing so. I think they have no real intentions of participating.

 

I think you are right there too Jordan. Some just want to have access to other member's information.

I can understand that people very much. I was also here a few years ago and the sound on the forum was, at least for my ears, extremely harsh and unkind. I don't remember anymore, if I was attacked personally or if it was the replies and posts I was reading. My decision was at that time to leave, because it was always extremely important to me to spend my time with people, who know how to talk and to behave. I don't want to find myself struggled and involved of nonsense fights. It is really for me wasting of time- I have better ideas and possibilities.

By accident I came to that forum again, last year, and this time I found good and quality people. Persons I like to discuss with and listen to their opinions. So this time it's a challenge and fun. And I am thankful that I've tried it again.:yawinkle:

she's wonderful our bookie, as you are...!! i completely agree that the regular posters are just brilliant people who i thoroughly enjoy interacting with...we also have some wonderful people who no longer post that i miss.
