I'm having a 'Hmm' moment, and since I haven't jacked anything in a while , I'm going to get this thread off track briefly.

All this talk of exceptions and inherent qualities that attract women to men has brought something to my attention. I gave you 3 women in my family as examples of women who don't look for physical traits in a man, however I can think of no exceptions to that in my family. That combined with your concurrence on the last paragraph of my previous explanation leads me to conclude that in this case environment perhaps trumps biology. I strongly believe how I was raised is largely responsible for what I look for, which would mean my environment supersedes my internal conditioning. Interesting concept.

That might be unique to you at least within my social sphere but then again the environments I'm aware of support the biological imperative.

Mine didn't, in fact the exact opposite was advocated to me for as long as I can remember. It's something I've never considered, thanks for the new wrinkle in my brain.

No, I have always liked big broad men.. think Aaron Neville body type (but like I said I dated all types of bodytypes including concave chests).

Also, there is an abundance of hardbody men in their 30s and 40s - especially in their 30s.. its not like that is old and people go soft in their 30s generally speaking. 30s is YOUNG:)
    LOL.

i've always gone for men because of who they are, not what they look like andrae, and that my friend, will never change.

Yeah but its a lot easier to keep in shape in your 20s. I remember eating whatever I wanted when I was 20 and now I smell a milk shake and my ass begins to jiggle lol

I do. I'm just saying it takes a lot more work now then it did then. I can imagine how will it be in my late 30s

No need to apologize. You like what you like. You like inshape guys who make fitness/healthy living a big part of their lives. You shouldnt have to feel guilty about that.

I also got a bunch of crap on here for saying I only date girls that are toned/inshape. Sheesh. Apparently I should of just been a total suck up on here like some of the guys and say I love 200 lbs+ girls...but then I'd just be lying.;)

I dissagree with that - not much difference in trying to keep in shape if your 26 or 34 for most people.

Im still lucky enough that I can eat pretty much what I want in my 40s, granted I looked like I was starving when I was in my teens:)

Not always. Online for instance you can get a feel for someone before knowing what they look like. You might find you like their personality, views, etc. despite not knowing if you find them physically attractive. Granted at the point you see them they may or may not fit your physical type, but that doesn't mean you can't find the non-physical aspects attractive prior to that point. For some of us it's that non-physical that draws us in and peaks our interest in the first place, even when we meet someone in person.

i concur. the tough part is just if you take off from doing anything worth a damn for a couple years and then try to fight your way back into normal shape. (this is my current struggle... lol) other than that, once you have your zone the maintenance on it is relatively the same.

well if a guy was sucking up by saying he loved 200+ lbs women... then wouldn't he be sucking up to a larger woman by doing so? yea, only one faking around here is you, pretending to be a honest person with legitimate insight. :smt030

Again, not sure why you and some others are catchin feelings over the littlest things.:smt022

I am not attracted to big/chubby/plus sized/fat chicks. Period.

Also, I have absolutely NO problem with women being only attracted to inshape men. If they arent attracted to fat/chubby guys, I respect that. I dont have a hissy fit over it (like some of the folks on here:smt022)
