You're right, that's just the point we're trying to make really... each to their own.

BTW, I'd go for a big guy over a skinny guy ANY day of the week!!

You expressively made the statement that the physical form of an overweight woman can be considered lustful and attractive. You said that when a man is overweight there has to be other attractive qualities for a woman to be lustful to him. There in lies the hypocrisy. Over weight get a pass on being over weight because they're still womanly and desirable. Over weight men have to have other things going for them to be afforded the same privilege. So again its ok to judge a fat guy purely based on his looks but doing it to a woman is some how unfair because losing weight for them is harder?

Yeah, there's always plenty to eat and we are good at keeping you warm in the Winter.

I been large all my life, at 6'-0" at 302 pounds. Built like an All Blacks Rugby player. Its tuff to get smaller, some of us were born to be big or chubby.. I've been told I carry my weight well for a big man. Confidence gets the ladies attention, they see it when you walk into a room.:smt045

I think we're losing sight of the actual argument here... Forgive me if I'm wrong, I haven't gone back and checked through the other thread, but I thought the only thing we were getting defensive about was the hating on fat women and backhanded "health" argument.

I can see where you're coming from with the "hypocrisy" thing now.. I'm kinda tired of arguing the point, but it's not about women still being "womanly and desirable" because overweight men can clearly still be "manly and desirable" as we've all stated. I was simply saying that a curvaceous womanly figure can look smooth, sexy and shapely across a whole range of sizes. Men, however, tend to hold weight in different places, it's not an overall size increase as it is with women. I'm just pointing out that it's a whole different ball game.

but at the end of the day, people were coming into the appreciation thread and hating on big women. You don't see anyone in here hating on big men. And you don't see anyone going into the "spinners" thread and hating on skinny women. There's just a LOT of judgement going on towards bigger women and I just think it's better left unsaid. If it's not your thing, that's cool. No worries. That's the beauty of life, we're free to love whomever we wanna love!

Really FG? I was always under the impression skinny girls were usually into either really lean guys or very msucular men.

I cant say I have a type, but I lean towards bigger men.

My X was 6'1" and 235 lb... he was very muscular but he certainly had .. eh.. padding and a buddah.. a little soft around the middle is just fine...
Im not really into the really big, cut, bone hard guys - I like some softness and broad big men - like Mac Trucks.
Really lean guys have never been my thing.

having that said - I dont discriminate agains men that are skinny:).. I have dated men with concave chests... if you are sexy, you are sexy and it comes from within and has nothing to do with size or fitness level.

    Does that make any sense?

Yeah totally but I always thought people had a trend in the kind of people they dated especially after a certain age. I think you get to a point where you like what you like and its usually very similar.

Yes, I do have a "trend" - but.

I dated blond men, dark men, tall men, short men, skinny men, soft, fluffy men, muscular men.. so yes, I have a trend - but if I look at my X-es, they really have nothing in common look wise really.

My trend towards bigger men get trumphed if you have th eprsonality I click with.

My baby is a big guy. He's not very overweight but he has a delightful little potbelly that I adore. But I'd still love him and think he's gorgeous even if it were more than a potbelly.

I like muscles. They're pretty and fun to draw. Romantically I prefer a soft chest to a hard one. I have been with very muscular guys before.. I did not enjoy cuddling with them nearly as much as a softer man. Sex with a rock hard body left me bruised, too. Lol and not in the good way, either. And during the cuddling I just found myself wanting a pillow between us.

I am still in lust with Tyrese Gibson, however. But celebrities that have been heavily photoshopped after hours of hair/makeup and a professional photography shoot should never be one's standard for realistic beauty. I find real people far more lovely than celebrities because they -aren't- photoshopped
. They have potbellies and stretch marks and cellulite and scars and acne and wrinkles and freckles and all sorts of other interesting things.

Though that was a bit of a tangent. In summation, I like soft, tall, dark and handsome. :D

I must of been blessed with a great metabolism cause I can never really pack on the pounds. Even after Spring Break (I didnt exercise once) I didnt gain anything.
So unless I start injecting lard into my body, dont think I'll be chubby anytime soon.
