On some primordial level, men IMO are attracted to women because of how 'unlike' they are from a physical standpoint. Breasts, hips, azz, relative hairlessness, scent/odor, vocal tone, softness and texture of their skin, etc.:smt118 I've heard that too from guys who've hooked up with fitness or BB chicks, the 'hardness' of their physiques, at least initially, cues a part of the brain in men that says, 'I'm fucking a dude.' Most of these BB women fair better in the dating scene when they're no longer competing and they increase their bodyfat level to a point where their feminine curves come back. I find maybe 20% of women body builders very, very sexy, especially the ones I've posted. To me to achieve some muscle definition (see below) while maintaining some femininity is healthy and good for the mind and soul.
