Would YOU want to RECORD your DREAMS?

For the record, Yours Truly (Being in the business I'm in...both live-action, as well as animation..) keeps a written record of the most interesting/outre/avant garde dreams of mine in a log...

...for *definite* future use in (mostly) live-action production projects..

This query, mind you, is NOT exclusively for artistic types such as Persephone. Los Angeles, et al.

All feel free to join in..



IF the technology existed in, say, EEG-style electrodes that could capture your brain waves - and -transcribe/translate them into the EXACT, PRECISE images that you dream at night...would YOU wanna have a 'Dream VCR/DVR' to record YOUR dreams..for your own personal use?


Just me sort of mulling things over...you know, footballing ideas and concepts and such around.


*I*, for one, would LOVE to have such a thing for my OWN artistic endeavours.....

The possibilities.....

Mine might be too XXX-rated for the public to see.

 

Would love to record my dreams - so many of them disappear within moments of when I wake..........but I can still feel the emotions of them. Had a friend who said he kept a notepad on the nightstand to write down his dreams - would call his mama and she would "interpret" them for him.

Strangely/sadly enough, very few dreams lately? Suggestions? :?

 

I think it would be interesting. I rarely remember my dreams. And when I do, they're usually weird.

I also believe that your dreams are good tools to help you interpret your waking life better and what you need to do. I don't know how your brain figures out the symbolism of the imagery, but a lot of it makes sense.

And the imagery and story being told in your dreams could make for some unbelievable short films!

It also fascinates me how your body just "knows" what food to crave when you're low on a certain nutrient. I find the human body so fascinating.

But I digress, I would love to have my dreams recorded. As it is, there are certain aspects of some dreams I've had recently that I don't remember! It would have been nice to revisit those sections later on.

 

I've actually considered this theory.

I would love to see my dreams replayed on video. There's been a few times where I would immediately write down what I saw after I woke up, but I stopped recording those stories after a while.

I could only imagine the movie to look something like an Alice In Wonderland sequel with the most random situations occurring.

 

I would love it!!!!!!!! Since more than 20 years I can´t remember my dreams- I don´t even know, if I dream or not, except horrible nightmares- those I remember, because I wake up

 

They haven't been interesting lately, except for one.

All my old ones contained a lot of rappers and some other actors/singers in them. They were interesting.

Like going to a Basketball game with a rapper (Sadat X of Brand Nubian) and then later having Thanksgiving dinner with Wesley Snipes. True story (dream).

 

i hardly ever dream, or if i do, i never remember them, even the sexual ones...i just wake up all hot and bothered, but can't remember why...so in that, yes i would like to record my dreams to see what's in my subconscious.

hahaha, that reminds me...i had a dream the other night i was married to ludacris. man, i even marry black men in my dreams - i got it bad.

 

I remember mine, especially the really odd ones, and it bugs me not to know what they mean so I don't see the point in recording them and confusing everyone else. I typically dream in really graphic detail, color, smell, taste, everything is present that's present in real life. Some of the subject matter though makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, and at the point it just gets too weird I generally wake up thinking WTH was that. Sometimes they bug me for days, like one I had last week in which I was carrying on a very polite conversation with a werewolf (looked like one from the movie Underworld Evolution) and at the end of the conversation as he was telling me goodbye, after convincing me to give him a porcelain doll, he told me I really needed to get a tan because I was too pale and some color would make me look healthier. I still have no damn clue what the hell that means? Werewolves don't like white meat, I'd be tastier tan, I look sickly? Not to mention, the doll he was having such a fit over, which I don't even own BTW, was whiter than me and he REALLY wanted that doll. Who knows what it means, but unsolved mysteries like that bend my brain for days and it's annoying.

What happened in it?

I haven't had any recent ones that I can remember off top. That was an old one that stood out.

...we were in this huge house, having this huge pool/dinner party thing...post party, this other random black dude shot my husband (Luda), and then i killed his wife...next thing you know, we're goin' at it like rabbits on his dead wife's couch...LMAO!

Im not that Romantic, so my dreams would be nothing more than low budget movies.

 

WTH is right, but LOL! That's sexy and creepy at the same time.

Bookie has a really good dream interpretation site. She posted it to help me with a weird dream I had.

a good friend of mine has a book about dreams and their meanings. when i was still in school, we spent countless hours in our dorm deciphering the meaning of our dreams, lol. kinda silly, but it was fun!!

You'd *actually* let a RIGHT RIPPING SCENARIO LIKE THAT *NOT* be "immotalised" on film?

With all due respect....I discussed your post's scenario with a pal who works at CANAL+, and has seen many script submissions for serious consideration for telly programmes, films, etc.----and he said that YOURS has *valid* possibilities...

No tricks, no gammon; The fella was *dead serious*...

Even *if* ya didn't cotton to the notion of being a director of material in your own right; Still & all, you *could* .. as I put in poll .. sell 'em to Speilburg, Lucas, J.J. Abramms, or whomever...and *still* pull a hefty paycheque as a HELUVA screenwriter & such..



One last query:

Does the name DAVID LYNCH, and his productions being rousing successes..or at least cult faves..mean anything to you? Hm?
