Yes, You might have a point there, I'm usually turned on by references to my race, but not necessarily derogatory ones, I'm just as turned on by the word "black", and yes, I do feel something but not when it's meant as an insult, if someone is trying to insult me I won't feel a damn thing, unless they call me derogatory terms in Portuguese or German => bimbo, affe, criolo, preto... these are some of the words that actually get to me, not the N word, see how we are all different?.

If there are deragotory words in other languages that can offend you, then why would you say:

If there are words that offend you in other languages, why would you not "get" what the "big deal" was with words in English that offend the other Men here?

I said they sound sexy to me personally, I don't question their motives, I think African Americans have every right to feel offended by this word, they were the ones that usually get lynched when people used this word in the past, so I don't mean to sound disrespectful or anything.

    Whatever floats yer sailboat, m8.....

As the Signature Tune from "DIFF'RENT STROKES" sez:

"What Might Be Right For You...

Might Not Be Right For Some"

Let's just chalk it up to YOUR personal, particular version of "Talk Dirty To Me"

    And so it goes....

I think like others have said I don't think anyone should use the word especially black people. The word has become a negative connation for black people so I could understand if a racist white person used the word to down blacks, but as a black person why would you want to use a word that is means you are stupid.

I grew up in Baltimore city and when I was in middle school I started to use the word because everyone around me used it and I really started to listen to rap then. But I moved into the county in basically an all white area and using the word around white people always made me feel uncomfortable for some reason. Went to college meet different took classes that broaden my horizons and in the last few years I have eliminated that word from vocabulary. I still listen to rap but I don't use the word when singing along. When the word is brought up by my peers I try my best to convert them not to use the word without sounding uppity.
