But youre right, kid, all roads need sidewalks (no exception). The only road type where sidewalks are needed are highways (obviously). Atlanta should (obviously) emphasize more on rehabilitation and metropolitan rejuvenation (learn from new orleans). I mean, lets face it, aesthetics is the main source of tuirist attraction, and ATL government better start creating (or recruiting) solid civil engineers or nobody and there mama will wanna visit the joint (let alone reside there)

I must agree, IR, not only in Toronto and Vancouver but also in Canada in its entirety is not a big deal. It seems as though everyone around you is in IR. That's why I don't get it when I see some these guys here posting "how to attract a ww" or "which city is IR friendly" threads. And I've never noticed anyone staring me down either because they saw me with a ww except for once a long time ago by 3 Jamaican girls. The same girls that would not give me the time of day because I'm not "thuggish" enough or was "too proper" for a black guy.

 

Atlanta is where the home of Cartoon Network, a part of Time Warner, was founded.

As Time Warner was responsible for *many* deplorable things that happened after 38 of us were laid-off in 2005 (I won't go into details), any fiefdom associated with said company is one I kind of approach warily...lest I *accidentally* spend my money on products/services provided by a company which I now *hate* (I've not gone to ANY Warner Brothers films or read ANY of their publications since I was SERIOUSLY fucked over by them..)

And since I happen to be a happily married husband....I have not much inclination to test the romantic water there either....

I can tell you truly have first hand experience with IR dating in Atlanta. As for the original post, the only reason why it seems that way is because Atlanta is full of migrants from other cities who bring their dating styles to our city. There are not many Atlanta natives living in Atlanta. Majority of everyone living in the city now are from the north or the west. The "Original" older southerners, white and black, detest interracial dating. The younger crowd is mainly involved in it but the money and the power in Atlanta still has a racist tinge. If you're in midtown Atlanta or Little 5 Points IR dating is cool, but if you go to the "White" northside and the "Black" southside you will see how racist the city really is. We are progressing but we are still the south. I am an Atlanta native born and bred.

I know both native and transplants.

I've gone to restaurants in College Park with the dude I was seeing. I also took him to the Jewish Museum there. We did stuff in "Black" areas and then did some stuff in Midtown and Buckhead. People can look all they want, just don't say shit or become violent.

 

God, it came *so close* for me & Mellisa two times in The States. Once in Denver, Colorado; And once in--of all places, as they are known for their liberal attitudes--Boulder, Colorado.


Sadly, in bioth instances, it was the "Bruthas" with the fucked-up attitudes about it all..

The one in Boulder (who was *extremely* vulgar and hostile...before storming away about 'comin' back and hurting somebody') I *pray* I never see again...ever....lest I walk away from a dead, dismembered body in an alley......

I think I noticed that when I went on a trip down there about 8 years ago. I remember that a white woman who appeared to be my age was staring me down, in a state of attraction. This was in the cities outside of Atlanta, but still in the Atlanta metro area.

Outside of that region, almost everywhere else in Georgia has a completely different vibe to it.
