Currently reading "Gangster" by Lorenzo Carcaterra. I’m barely halfway through it but it’s already one of the best books I’ve ever read.

    First off...

Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon is one of my favorite books...ever. As is To Kill A Mockingbird. Great taste you all have!

I just finished reading Half the Sky, and am now reading mostly textbooks for grad school. :(

Read this one a couple of times.

I plan to read it again soon. It was given to me when visiting Norway and finished reading it the first time when flying from London to Canada. I have read it many times over since.

James Baldwin's Giovanni's Room. Unexpectedly was impressed with this book, I say, 'unexpectedly' because of the subject matter.

Sammy "The Bull" Gravonno, he was the second man in charge of the Mafia behind Don John Gotti.

I found it hard to believe that someone who is that involved in that lifestyle can turn on his people like that. Turn states evidence on EVERYONE. Joe Valachi did it in the early 60's but he was just a soldier. This guy was damn near a Don himself.
