Lets be clear: Roads need sidewalks, no matter what the square mileage of the town/city is. Building roads with no sidewalks contributes to the American Theory that you aren't anyone without a ride, and that only contributes to our over-dependence on fossil fuels.

If a city wants to be considered modern, it will have sidewalks...everywhere. Take a look at Toronto if you want to see a 21st century city. In any case, i have a buddy moving to Atlanta and it seems to be a place to be. Get in early if you can! Atlanta and Georgia will shortly become the Southwest of the 2010 decade.

When I think of ATL. I don't think of IR relationships.

I dated a guy out there and we didn't experience any problems, but people did look at us.

Agreed. Lots of educated and to do well sisters move there, coz ATL is suppose to be the mecca of educated blk folks. From what I was told it is good for blk with blk coupling. When it comes to IR, I was told not so much

lippy would not say that atlanta is IR friendly at all...my old bf that works for cnn moved to atlanta and i visited him a few times...let's just say the bw are very chilly and the bm that date strictly bw are not very warm either

 

I live in a suburb just outside of Atlanta. It is by no means an IR heaven. Although there are manly IR couples, it is still frowned upon. Most of the frowns come from older whites and BW. Unfortunate but true....
