If you want to know why someone made a specific comment that you consider mean, ask them. I personally speak my mind and I say nothing I wouldn't openly say to someone in person, but I don't try to be 'mean', though I have been known to be a little bitchy. If you plan to engage in discussion, you should be prepared to receive some comments you don't like or don't agree with, that's what makes it a discussion. If someone can't deal with that, then IMO they need to take their sensitive ass elsewhere.

I'm fine with anyone posting anything they want to discuss. If it's something that doesn't interest me, I'll just refrain from commenting. I know goodlove creates a holy hellavu bunch of threads, however I did note that he mentioned once that he views that as therapeutic, and since I know his life is in shambles at the moment, I'm all for therapy in whatever form it takes.

As for the typos, I really don't care. I know some people are on their cells and it's easier to make mistakes on small keyboards, so I just correct them in my mind as I'm reading. But I will say that in goodlove's case, there have been a couple times where I've looked at what he wrote and thought 'I'm not even sure what that word is supposed to be'. So as I said, if your typos prevent people from understanding what you're talking about, your message is likely to be overlooked or completely lost. Again, that's not a big deal to me, but I think it's silly to whine about not being understood when you are the one making that difficult.

 

well, espy i want to saw I scanned through a lot of things and you come across as a kind and balanced person. as for the rest i cant say for each but they seem over all ok but there are a few that are very meanspirited and judgemental. as for this person Los angeles Im not sure what you mean but as for your tone Im sure you about to give it to me huh. But I digress.


I see the venomous rhetoric on the net all the time. It is very disheartening that people are so mean and harsh for no real reason. was the guy that bad ? I read some of the posts/threads or whatever you call them and it was just fun stuff. I read others and they were the same. so just because he posted alot does that make him a bad person ? do that make him someone you guys want to make into a villian ? So because he had typos or he didnot proofread was he someone you wanted to kick off the site ?

trust me I see other evil things to get sore about and this is not one of them. Maybe it was a bit funny but to say mean things. I dont see where it was warranted.

A lot of people get on these sites because they can be bullies because they cant be tough in person because it is safe to do so via computer. dave ramsey said it best..." bullies are just wimps once they get hit in the nose they are not so tough" . I will try not to go low with these people on this site because I can see it and I dont have the patience to deal with mean people.

Like I stated Im new here but I have seen sites that are just utterly mean. I have told myself not to get on sites anymore because people overall are just mean. Like I stated maybe some proofreading but I did get the foundamental.

yeah people are in pain that is why i refrain from evil talk because some people are in bad situations. even if they werent I wouldnt do it because it is not in my heart. I would not refrain from telling the truth because lies are worst than the truth but we can be above the fringes or in the case of the net above the many.

Im not justifying a person should be corrected or even be the butt of a joke when they make a mistake but to be outright mean from your spirit is something I can not stomach or be a part of .

I dont understand how you did not see that in the context of the conversation. again Im not defending anyone but......damn I saw that in the context of the convo and again you have to understand the hood lingo. you dont have to be black to know what he is saying. I have no fondness for sock puppets, or the people that create them. I think you're probably right that they're the same person. And that's crappy.

But I frankly don't care how someone's posting on the internet. Even if what you said about the Salvation Army is true, it doesn't matter. Good people fall on hard times. Why would you judge someone posting on the internet for being homeless? Either their ideas are sound, or they aren't. Either you like them or you don't. It doesn't really matter where they live. Hell, if someone is posting here and living in a shelter, shit, at least they aren't looking at porn and bothering the workers.

That said, it really does look like this guy is a sockpuppet, and one with a stupid name on top of it. Suggestive handles are like scarlet letters, they're always a portent of doom.

Goodlove, if this is your puppet, reel it in, man. Sockpuppets are never the answer. Unless the question is "how can I ruin my credibility and open myself up to greater mocking".
