I turned out OK for the most part. I have started to weed out the negative people and re-place them with positive ones.

Plus, there are many good ladies here, and good mothers as well. While, you may be words on a screen, just those words you say can put a positive outlook in anyone's mind.

You basically know what I'm about when kids need to be checked. My grandma used to have this backscratcher, and best believe me and my cousin fear the shit outta that thing more than a muthafucka. Kept us in check, for the most part.

Unfortunately sometimes you have to really think outside the box though when the kids as smart as you are, or in my son's case, smarter. It got to the point where he could accurately predict what the punishment would be, unfortunately for him he also got really flippant about it. The last time this happened he was 12 and I sat him down to discuss what he'd done and he held up his hand and said and I quote "I know, I'll just go unplug my XBox and bring it down now. You can give it back after whatever time you feel is appropriate." He got up and headed upstairs without even waiting for a response. Too bad for him I hate smart asses, I adjusted his punishment and for the first time in his life I think he was caught totally off guard. I will say I haven't had a problem with him since. Like I said you gotta find what hurts before they pay attention, but once you establish what matters most to them it's smooth sailing after that.

 

thats hard to answer. since everyone has different values and beliefs. I believe that spanking is fine and done without anger and as last resort.

 

Depends on the child. I'd rather not.

 

OK we have differing views on spanking but that saying is hilarious.
