I Joined A New Gym

My membership expired at my older gym nearly a year ago in which, I tried to exercise at home. Possibly, those who exercise in their homes have lots of weights for a pair of 25 kg dumb bells were not offering any results despite being an avid dumb bell user.

Nevertheless, I joined a gym this morning, worked out in the evening and I must say, it was the best part of my day. I am unable to lift as heavy as I once did however, I should be back to normal within a month or so.

This may sound bizarre to some but I am actually in good spirits that my body is sore from working out. It is more of a good pain. I would imagine those who workout consistently will understand the difference between good pain oppose bad pain.

That reminds me. I must buy a few jars of peanut butter…

    Cheers!

    Why bothering joining another gym?

I haven't joining gym in my whole life, but never will be one at this point. There are so many things that you can do to keep yourself a healthy person the best that you can be!

There are big field out here in my favorite state, North Carolina. Where I can run anywhere without having somebody raise their gun to shoot me behind my back, ending my life here on the earth!

It's awesome feeling if you try here in my favorite state. It will give you a relaxing feeling. What you're seeing here, lots of farmers on the field working their asses off to collect all those foods, wheats, even tobacco! It will give you a serious boost of working out!

North Carolina, I find it very relaxing and very glad of feeling home out here. My outdoor cat's enjoying a lot, playing with another cats out there. But there's a risk, though! One word: TICKS!!! But, hey, it's so worth to take that risk while you're running out here! Seriously, you need to come here! It will help you to shape the form of your thoughts all in together. It did do me good too!

    I don't have a gym membership...

the last gym I went to was at the Naval Depot back in '04

I workout at home..and as always one of the most important things is consistency. So far I have an indoor rower, a recumbent stationary bike, 7foot olympic bar/plates, bowflex dumbbells, pull-up tower, and a variety of bodylastic/power-pushup bands to round things out with cable-type exercises you can't get from free weights. If you see me at a gym, i'm not there to workout. I would be there to look at ass.

    Only for now.

That schedule will eventually change to a time I'm not sure of.

Unfortunately, I prefer not to exercise at night because most of my energy is spent by that time.

    We'll see.

    I'm the same way.

I've been sore for the past two days because I'm just now starting back up a routine.

Its such a good feeling to have that soreness because you know you did well.

boys...in my field of work we call that a good pain...!!! and yes, there is nothing like bending over to get something and then realising that you can't because your thighs and stomach ache so much that breathing hurts....

    Numerous reasons.

As an avid dumb bell user, I like having 68 kg (150 pounds) dumb bells at my disposal.

I like having guys bigger than me working out. It gives me the motivation to push harder. In addition to getting some good tips on defining certain muscle parts.

More gym equipment means more ways to be creative with your workout regimen. Body types vary and, it is always best to find what gives you results instead of wasting your time doing a routine that never works.

Although I am not very sociable on the Internet, I am very sociable in the real world and, tend to know 90% of the members in every gym I’ve worked out.

As I am replying to your post, my whole body is sore, which is a good thing. :) I haven’t had this feeling in over a year. 25 kg dumb bells will not offer such an affect since my body is accustomed to lifting no less than 45.5 kg. Whether it is dumb bells, plates and/or machines.

    Cheers!

I don’t have space for a gym so attending one is the next best thing. I never look for girls in gyms. I have more than enough opportunities just moving about in the streets of New York. :smt025

    Cheers!

Sounds good complex. I belong to a gym and enjoy going. I like working out with others around and it keeps me motivated. I have several pieces of equipment at home as well as weights but still like a few machines at the gym that I don't have.

Also the single people are mating there for sure. Or in pettys case manwhoring. ;)

Same here. I have a 3 station Impex gym, recumbent bike, rower, weight bench, free weights, and a heavy bag. I always do cardio in the morning alone, but I share weight workouts with the kids for safety reasons and because they prefer it that way. I'm the opposite of Jordan, I don't like to be around people when I workout, so joining a gym doesn't interest me. I like to turn up the music and just focus on the workout. I find other people disruptive and distracting to the process, and when I did have gym memberships it seemed like a lot of people were there primarily to socialize. It's really irritating to have to wait on a machine because someone is sitting on it just chatting, grrr! Totally screws up my workout. With everything here at the house I can workout whenever I want, and there's never any waiting or interruptions. :D

I am sure every gym I've attended has their share of "mating." However once I enter the gym, my mind is focused primarily on the weights.

LOL, I do the same thing... head down, no eye-contact and ipod in:) As I do when I travel too:)

I chat to lots of members in the gym. However, I keep short and gym related. There are times school, work, or the stock markets will spark a conversation when resting between sets. But, nothing time consuming that will affect my workout regimen. I have engaged in long conversations once I’ve completed my workout. I’ve even gone to restaurants and, shopping with a few members upon exiting the gym. However I am not one of those blokes who will jeopardise their workout regimen by chatting up a storm in a gym.

    Cheers!

That is what I mean.. I prefer to just work out and not talk while I do it, what is the point otherwise.. I dont wanna cool down. Work now, chat later approach:)
