What's going on with you 2.0?

Good ol' Athens. I once had to bribe a police at the airport. Otherwise, they were gonna detain me for non-existence drugs and make me miss my flight. They had me in a room and a few of them were discussing in the room what the best story was for them to tell their boss as to why they were detaining me in case he came and asked them. The thought that I might have spoken or understood Greek never crossed their mind. Back then I spoke it well and understood it even better. One of the police suggested that he was gonna say that I was holding what appeared to be a forged passport and another one came up with this idea that a cigarette pipe I had in my carry-on luggage contained traces of drugs. This pipe was given to me as a gift and was still wrapped and sealed in a plastic wrap. I was sitting there listening to these idiots, almost wanting to volunteer a suggestion as to what would be a more plausible case for them to hold me because they were so dumb they couldn't agree amongst each other. They started cursing at each other's gods.
What was funny is they would say all kinds of stuff about me and then say to each other "this black boy probably speaks Greek" and then back to talking about me all over again. So after I paid them, they were all super nice and helping with my luggage and everything else. It was not even $100 that I gave them but it did the job.

Athens and Greece as a whole can be so many things all at once. It could be this nation that once led in civilization, great architectural sites, beautiful islands and beaches and a third world country in so many ways at the same time. But all in all, it is still one of the loveliest places that I have ever been to. It was once my home for a year.

Tirkah,you are so right Greece is so mix... old with the new going to many changes fast but still many old ways there, a lot of people get annoy but all you need is to get to know how they work and you can have great time..

oh and christine most there are very laid back dont like doing things fast you can wait long until this light fixed probobly never will and dont worry about the taxis much, most are like this especialy when they know you not from there and they know you dont know the place will try to make as much they can ..

Well seems lately seem everything i say after a little everything change
I will not be going in Greece around November.. will be hard to make everything ready how i want to i will be put back the holidays until next year May...this way will be nice weather not hot or cold and will give me more time ..also i got some good news my mother told me if all goes well maybe when i return back to Australia they will come with my father and her together to stay with us for a while ... not sure will happen this but now i put the holiday more back have more chance..
if they come over no way they going back early i make them stay for a year
they are in pension so no need to go back quick ..this way can be together with us and see my son for long time ..it is the only grandchild they got ..

I don't want to put the holidays back but am not ready for a lot of things .. i want to do another surgery again.. and i feel very down i don't want them to see this.. and then money will be a little on the way too


oh and i order a nice little cake today on Thursday my son will be 15 ...seems like yesterday was just a baby ..
we will cut the cake just the family does not want anything but still we cut a cake ..
and on Friday we taking out a friend with her family out for my sons birthday as will be easy for me...

 

Oh- my dear..sounds very similar to me..I have no problem with checking, that´s their job, I only become uncomfortable, if they read my correspondence and business files.. but anyway that is long ago.. In the meantime I have an Odyssee behind me.. I had to go back to pick up an original doc, missed of course the flight back here and had to book in that case a third time. But now I am here again, at a wonderful hotel at the sea and will be spoiled tomorrow in their great Spa.. I will forget everything and I am going to send you pics to make you really jealous HAHAHA ...lol...just a joke! Not the pics, but my intention..

So until I make it in Hollywood :smt026 I need to come up with a way to make extra money. I've done research online to find some legitimate ways to make money working from home PT. I thought about getting a second job, but then I'd have to pay for a sitter, etc. It wouldn't be cost effective for me.

So, my question is, besides things like web design, which I've never tried, are there any legitimate, viable work-from-home options out there for people to make extra money?

i'll put some thought into it bookie...i know some friends who do ironing and some secretarial stuff from home though and they're happy with it.

 

It was a nice everyning we had a little cake today for my son birthday.. and we took some some fish and chips for dinner ...called my inlaw also today to come over for dinner and the birthday .. thats what he wanted something simple he loved the cake well he choosed it anyway lol

 

If you know any other languages you can translate documents. If you can make stuff like jewelry you can sell it at places like etsy.com. Hmmmmm I've tried to find writing jobs online but it gets tricky finding ones that aren't scams. They exist though. If you
can get together some samples
you can do freelance articles for magazines and whatnot.

 

Grr my fucking roommates drank my orange juice. I bought it to use as a delicious way to get my sugar levels
up in the morning and now there is nothing. I don't mind sharing but c'mon I had one small glass of it a couple of days ago and now I wake up and my shit is gone!

I hope one of them buys more cause imma drink every drop

I'm being domestic today since I haven't been able to for a couple of weeks. I'm cooking for two of my friends tonight. Then, I'm making a strawberry pretzel salad for another friend's birthday tomorrow. He requested it. I'm going to have to pull myself away from here to go to the store. It's taken hours to get caught up on all the threads I've missed.

 

Well, that was one of the shortest relationships I've had lol. Oh, well. Just because I like sex, does not mean I am going to give it up ASAP. I will when I am ready, on my time, not yours. :smt091

And now, it's not so safe to go out alone at night anymore. We have a panther wandering around here now. I have never seen signs of one or anything around here, and I have lived in the same spot for 15 years.

First time that I have ever heard one scream/cry/whatever. That sound is unmistakable and it sent shivers straight up my spine.

 

I just finished making strawberry pretzel salad, strawberry butter, and my yeast rolls are rising now. It looks like it's going to be a strawberry kind of day. :tonqe: Now, I'm just waiting to go to my friend's birthday dinner. I love having the weekends off.

I might have a new apartment. we (two of my friends, Nate, and me) applied for a three bedroom apartment in a much better neighborhood than the one this has become.

Student housing rent = $700 mo to share 2 bdrm
2 bath with three girls I didn't meet until
I moved my stuff in.

nice new apartment = $225 for my share of the master bedroom with my Nate and two of my closest friends.


I will also finally be able to have a damn beer after work without fear of
getting kicked out.

If we get it. I'm crossing my fingers. It's a damn good deal and I finally
get to room with Nate.
