Very unlikely.

 

I have never managed to get close enough to acctually eat one so I dont know.. and I have NO desire to find out.
Its sells and when the new cans are released each year, its a huge thing with huge surstromming (that is the Swedish name of it) parties everywhere.
So I guess people acctually like it

Nah, if you look at the poor girl trying to eat one, you put it on a specific type of thin bread with potatoes and dill.

You take a fish out and filet it on your plate, seems to be a part of the whole ritual.. so you only eat the fish filets. Still stinky as all hell full of bad intestinal tracts.

 

hmm... yea, i'll have to pass on that. kinda reminds me of that fermented shark they eat in iceland. except i think even that might be a lil less smelly by the time it gets to the connoisseur.

Well, they do it in Greenland also then.
In greenland they also dig down animals in seal stomachs to ferment.

it's been a while since this thread was up, sooooooooo to redirect all the negativity into something positive i thought i'd share some pics of a food and wine festival i went to today with some gf's and our kids down by our beach.
