I mostly listen to hard rock music when I workout, something about all the blasting and strong emotion that gets me pumped. A throw a couple classics in too every now and then. Some favorites:

Eye of the Tiger - Surviver (Thank you Rocky Balboa for inspiring me with your training montages lol)
Animal I have become - 3 Days Grace
Remember the name - Fort Minor
    Breaking Benjamin music
    Shinedown music
    Requiem for a tower

Usually stuff like that helps keep me motivated.

I have something from both of these on my playlists. I have cardio timed to specific music so I don't have to consciously time the intervals and pay constant attention, so anything with the right timing and a heavy beat works for me.

    Some of my favorites:

    Stronger - Kanye
    Frontline - Pillar
Snakes on a Plane - Cobra Starship
Give me a Sign - Breaking Benjamin
Face Down - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
What I've Done - Linkin Park
Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

    Daft Punk's -Around the world
    Harder Better Faster Stronger
    Digital Love

    Muse's - Supermassive Blackhole
    Undisclosed Desires

    Marina and the Diamonds
    I am not a Robot
    Hollywood
Florence and the Machine- The Dog Days are Over

Plus a ton of other random stuff but I skip to these mostly.

My workout songs depend on my mood. It can range from angry tunes such as "Welcome to the Jungle" by GnR or to all jacked up on mountain dew tunes such as "Get Ur Freak On" by Missy Elliott.

    I like variety. :D

I listen to a range of stuff depending on what I'm doing, dancehall is one of my favourite genres generally so I listen to a lot of that.

My man has an amazing ear (5th generation djembe drummer) and can easily pick tracks to the exact bpm of my running stride. Searching for running to cadence or bpm can find you online tools to search for tracks if you don't have a djembe player at home...

I like vybz Martel, posh, mavado, lexxus, Bernie man, collie budz and many many more. Not surprisingly I particularly like dancehall and hip hop driven by a djembe beat, of which there are many, especially if it's been layed down live on the track. Great for running.

I also listen to a lot of kwaito (south African house) and hip hop like mobb deep especially.

Reggaeton is also good for high energy.. Er I could go on all day- l love my music!
