aaaaahhhhh man todays music is just a factory of sequels with another artist to the next. no one has their own style. no ones lyrics get me going and the beats are weak to the next week. at this point im just talking about rap.

RandB has lost it soul. only a few is holding down like maxwell. I migrated to country music because they are deep as a mother.

i remember back in the day music was just outright sick like egyptian lover - egypt egypt and my beat goes boom were the joints, newcleus with jam on it and then music nonstop by kraftwerk aahhh sick man just sick.

now there is no variety of styles in music to enjoy

Not really sure on who I miss the most, since I only heard what was on the radio(they were good artists though). Half the shit I listened to came out before I was born. I'd probably say 90s Ice Cube, though, and Master P(yeah, he was wack, but No Limit was comin' out hard, back then).

Jam On It was the fucking jam!!!!! I remember hearing that intro bassline and the chipmunks over that shit hella years ago, like 4 years old. And I was lovin' that WIKI WIKI WIKI!!!

Who would have ever though lauryn hill's career would have gone so bad? I loved her music. Micheal Jackson was good as well.

The whole neo-soul wave was the shit. Erykah, Maxwell, Lauren, The Roots, D'Angelo, Nikka Costa, all at the same time. There was a Spin article recently talking about how neo-soul didn't last. It's a shame, all that ghetto shit took over.

When Wu Tang put out all the solo albums at once, all on different labels including Method Man "Bring The Pain," ODB "Return to the 36 Chambers" and Raekwon "Only Built For Cuban Linx."

I also liked the r&b girl group wave Brownstone, Changing Faces, Total, Xscape, etc. I liked "Grapevine" the best, Brownstone was the shit.

The white boys were rockin' out, I liked the whole Seattle wave. Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, etc.

    The first Missy Elliott album.

There's more but that was a taste.

Ahh the sounds of yesteryear. With music being crappy these days, makes you appreciate music of the past much more.

There's so many artists to name. Just check the 80s and 90s music threads and you'll see some of the gems from those decades.

I have a lot of faves of song of the 80's and 90's. Some are videos for example Terence Trent D'Arby's Wishing Well and Milli's Girl I'm gonna Miss You. In the world of music videos IR are treated with respect.
