Gucci's lisp makes his horrible rapping sound even worse. A hot producer is key to being successful, these days. So many times, I hear people say, I like the beat. People rarely comment on the lyrics these days. 1. They don't pay attention to the lyrics. 2. They know the lyrics are shit, but thinks the rapper went hella hard on the track, just because the beat was sick.

I'll give Wayne credit. At least he tries to be original, and make an effort to throw similes and metaphors in his shit. Half the time they're wack, but other times, I've actually heard some decent lines from him. There are no clever rappers out, right now, who make this kind of music.

Probably. I don't listen to new rap. The west is still on that same ol' bullshit. Being better than the west is no accomplishment, these days. Also, where the hell did the west come from. It's like you're trying to provoke me by dissing my side of the map. Fist of all, it's irrelevant. Second of all, all coasts are wack, right now. Only difference is that the south is putting in major work. I couldn't give to fucks about the present day west, south, or east.

Gucci was the shit 2005-2008, fell off once he tried to go mainstream. Yes, Gucci's lyrics ok at best but he did have his moments and he knew how to ride the hell out of a beat.

People still listen to hip hop/rap? :smt102 LOL

For real I think all the rappers out of this region suck!! Atlanta has been putting out bullshit ringtone raps for way too long. This shit I just can't feel. Wayne is overrated and if the drugs don't kill him he might live long enough to actually last in hip hop. Rappers crash and burn before 30. Drugs, prison or bankruptcy seems to be the three roads rappers end up on.
