one of my yahoo accounts was recently hacked into, so I changed my password & security questions. When I did this I noticed my contacts list disappeared. I wanted to remove those anyway for security. But now it does not get any email. I know something is up because I usually get something every day, even if it is spam. I can can sign into it fine, & send emails, just not receive any. Oddly, my other yahoo accounts work.
Go into your Yahoo mail settings (Options > More Options) and check "POP & Forwarding" to make sure your mail is not being forwarded to another address. If not, then check your filters, spam settings, and vacation response. If nothing is unusual then send an email to your yahoo account from an address you control and see if it bounces back as undeliverable. It should say why. You may be able to recreate your contacts list if you had message archiving turned on.
Thanks for your suggestions, just as mysteriously as it had stopped, it started receiving emails again, it is OK for now, I went into my options & did not see anything weird there, POP was not activated, & I went into one of my other yahoo accounts & sent an email from it & it went through with no bounce back or failure messages. Then I went back to my non receiving email, & nothing. But for now it seems to be OK again. I did fill out a yahoo customer satisfaction survey, & told them my problem there, maybe someone fixed it.
