There are a LOT of men who like fat women.

They love the fat body, not a 'thick' body, a FAT body.

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with that...to each their own. However, I agree that this woman is being selfish and that poor daughter of hers is going to grow up without a mother.

Her man obviously is part of the group of people with a 'feeder' fetish. Which is basically, they are sexually aroused by feeding their partner and making them even fatter. This is a fetish I don't like, but hey...it's not my business what people do.

I hate one thing about this forum, and that is the disbelief and disgust at a man finding a fat woman attractive. Yes, sure it's not for everyone and I don't see how a fat body is attractive either, but who are we to judge?

This particular case has me questioning the woman's self esteem and love for both her partner and her child. And her partner's love for her and their child. It's the whole "guiness book of records" thing that makes me mad.
However, if he finds her fat body attractive...that's fine by me.

Lets just leave this shit alone, I mean seriously. We are on a forum where we talk about prejudice against our particular choice of partner and here we are being prejudice against someone else's choice of partner. Not good people.

I agree that's it's harder for them Chi, and that it takes a more concerted effort for a morbidly obese person to lose weight, and there are people who have metabolic issues. However that said, the reason it's harder for them is because they're morbidly obese and most, though certainly not all, ate themselves that way. I understand that some learn poor eating habits as children and never unlearn them, some don't exercise and once you reach a certain size it's prohibitive to do so, and some eat to feed some emotional need that's not being met elsewhere. Bottomline, at some point they have to care enough about themselves to make a change. They didn't get that way overnight and they aren't going to lose the weight overnight either. But this woman in particular has no desire to lose weight, she wants to gain more. It's apparently profitable for her to be obese and unhealthy, and she's chosen to capitalize on that.

I honestly have no problem with anyone being whatever size makes them happy. I do have an issue with people who are obese and sensitive or delusional about it. People like Kirstie Alley who stated she didn't realize she was fat until she saw a tabloid photo... come on now she owns a mirror, that's denial at it's finest. I watched a show on TLC a while back with a woman who was over 500 pounds and she was considering a gastric bypass because people hurt her feelings when they looked at her. She recounted a incident where she went to a restaurant and a little girl that she estimated was about 3 or 4 years old saw her and whispered to her mother 'mommy that lady is so big'. It hurt her feelings, she said children were so mean. Hello the kid is 3, you're probably the biggest person she's ever seen, and children are very literal, they say what they think. I don't consider that rude in that context, you weigh 500 pounds, you are big, deal with it. It's not like the child was being intentionally mean, and yes I know that some people are, but in that case she was merely being observant. If it bothers you that much you really should work on it. The problem is that as you pointed out Chi, it takes a lot of work to loose 100 or 200 pounds, and a lot of people don't want to put the work in. If something is important enough to you, you'll be willing to work at it.

tis true, in some parts of africa a fat woman is most desired and if she is skinny the mother in law will keep her inside fattening her up

I didn't say overweight people couldn't be beautiful, I said they're almost always unhealthy.

I don't have a problem with anyone being attracted to whomever suits them. To each their own. I personally think as Sin pointed out that it's unfair to their children as their mother's life expectancy is lower than it would be if she were at a more healthy weight. But again if she's happy with herself, and doesn't have a problem being unhealthy, who are we to judge.

I don't watch the news, but I saw it online several times and I think maybe they discussed it on The View, which I also don't watch but apparently they have a good following. I agree with you wholeheartedly that this particular stereotype is negative on both sides, and it gets brought up a lot. Personally I've seen far more overweight WW with WM than I have with BM. There is also a difference between 'thick' and morbidly obese, but some people don't make that distinction, usually the one's touting this particular stereotype. I understand why it offends you Lippy, I also don't like being thrown into the 'all WW are...' group, nor do I like to hear the 'all BM are...' crap either. The words 'all' and 'every' should just be removed from our vocabularies as there are really very few instances where their use is appropriate.

I remember when I saw this a few times, and then MTO or hater site showed her man and I was like ahhh shit. Why? Not that stereotype coming to life again...lol

I can't understand the thought process behind this. She's killing herself all for a world record? This sad beyond belief.

Excuse me Thread Police, but this was in the news today and a legitimate thing to bring up, a.k.a. current events. I think it's strange when good looking single women cry about being single yet a thousand-pound beast can get a man. A BLACK man, yet. This is called IRONY.

karma...i'm not crying...more men than i know what to do with....seems to me the crying around here is always men that can't get a woman...i don't see the women crying...perhaps a few are challenged by the fact that there is not much to choose from ex: thicky or perhaps even tarshi due to limited resources of bm...if either one of them step on american soil those tears would dry up quickly

i appreciate the fact that you admit you posted this thread for shock value...everyone went into the health mode on how fat this woman is but you really just wanted to point out that she is with a black man

lexington was famous for posting current events anything and everything that took a negative spin on bm & ww...she's a friend of yours right?
