He doesn't have to. He's already been annointed as a top 20 p4p fighter..it's not in his best interest to get exposed by Mayweather. Arum will never let Floyd destroy his golden goose.
Your right. He really doesn't have to. A cloud with silver lining has been placed under his feet and he is flying high as ever now. If Manny and Mayweather do fight it would really be for Mayweather's benefit.
Bob Arum would love nothing more than see Floyd beaten by one of his fighters. He just doesn't have anybody to do it...sure he'll talk shit that Mayweather ducked his easy-to-hit fighters...but that's just bullshit.
Mayweather and his team know what's going on. That's why they are not falling for the "Okedoek". In reality, the ball is still in their court. :smt067 No Prob.
The only problem I have with the Mayweather / Pacquaio debate is Mayweather is never given credit for beating De La Hoya and Hatton long before Pacquaio did the same. Pacquaio fed on Mayweather's leftovers but is lauded for beating them while Mayweather's victories over the same fighters is an after thought.
Of course they won't give Mayweather credit and I believe it goes without saying. Manny is a scapegoat used to avoid giving Floyd his credit. They always use gambits in a situation like this. Look who has been dominating the boxing world for the past two decades, and I don't have to name names because y'all know who, and it can even be disputed to be more than that. They are going to try every trick in the book to keep from adding him to the pantheon of great fighters.
I found it odd that Pac and Clotty were so chummy friendly to each other with their knuckle handshakes after Clotty's uppercuts to Pac's chin. If you are fighting seriously, you are not pals with the opponent.
fanny pac...LOL I also do think pac is taking HGH (human growth hormone)...have you seen the size of his head? damn, its huge! lol (a side effect of HGH) I dont think clottey is declining though, he's style is just made for a fighter like pac...Clottey uses that turtle shell, winky wright defense and doent become offensive until his opponent stops punching...pac rarely stopped throwing...i think he avg 100 punches per round...lol
Blame that on HBO announcers/cheerleaders for that..and Bob Arum.....not to mention rampant hating on Mayweather from Pinoy and Mexican boxing "fans". Floyd fought Oscar...who was CHAMPION at 154...while Pacman fought Hoya at 147...drained like hell and fresh off getting his eyesocket fractured by the dreaded Stevie Forbes,a guy that couldn't crack an egg at 130. Hatton was almost KTFO by a LIGHTWEIGHT fighting at 140 for the 1st time..Juan Lazcano. That never gets mentioned.
Then Clottey was a fool. Is there no pure sport of boxing anymore??? Where are the "fight clubs" that pit man against man not for the image and money but for the sake of masculine superiority? BHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I have no respect for those who DON'T ROCK the BOAT in boxing.
