Believe it or not....it's *not* a "young, naiive ingenue thing".. Ennyroad, there was some kinda conversation between me and some colleagues - the overall topic I cannot recall, and who the hell cares anyway, considering the mentality of said colleagues? But this was between thirtysomethings, late twentysomethings and such; WAY past that "ingenue" age bracket, IMHO. In any case, one of the females (She was a biracial Latina/German "Mamacita"-looking gal [Read: VERY corpulent! The "Mamacita" part, by the way, is merely a description; She had {has?} no children...or a mate, for that matter...she has a mouth filthier than a sailot with Tourette's Syndrome....and a fucked-up attitude to match]) made the retort about "Oh, not HIM! (Referring, of course, to Yours Truly) He like's VANILLA!" I'm not gonna couch my distaste for what I felt (and STILL feel to this day) was an APPALING description of the type of girl that I adore. It's no wonder, now, is it? That when I *did* pull up anchor from Ohio in 1997....I loudly proclaimed - two days before my departure - "Mind you, we WON'T have to much longer remain amongst these FILTHY BARBARIANS!" Disgusting!
