Old Spice reminds me of my Grandad loyal customer of Old Spice from the 40s untill the day he died, lol they are desperately trying to sex up the brand away from old man smell.
He's hot but I agree with Inner B he's irritating too.

 

I only saw this commercial and thought. "I wonder what white women think of this".

I think the joke is he is supposed to come across as an ass. Its all part of the fun. I will admit to seeing the commercial once weeks ago during a game. I thought it was funny but I've had no interest in seeing it again. It is a bold move to use a black guy for such a commercial though.

 

I think it is goofyfunny.

 

He's supposed to come off like an ass, but I wouldn't be surprised if most people weren't too fond of its intended humor.

The campaign is targeting the women who will hopefully buy it for the men based on the commercial.
