Irradiated Meat: "Yea" or "Nay" in YOUR diet?

It's been highly touted as being apparently all very well and good concerning its alleged abatement of fearful & toxic contaminants such as e.Coli, salmonella, listeria, and things like these...

There IS just ONE (possible) mitigating factor in all this that has never been touched on..

The long-term cumulative effect of said irradiated foodstuff in the digestive tracts of the consumer at large....

I have my suspicions about it all...Like my thoughts about AVANDIA...

To make a long story short...Me and Mellisa shall merely continue with OUR meticulous, careful, and THOUROUGH washing and cooking, eh?

    'Nuff Said..

If you cook meats to the proper recommended temperature is irradiation necessary? That would destoy pretty much all bacteria. I don't eat all that much meat so for me I would say no to the risk of the unknowns with irradiation.

I dont want to eat irradiated food, but how much can I really legitimately complain about it because I have worked with (been exposed) isotopes for years now.

We get our beef from a co-op. We pay a farmer to raise a cow without antibiotics or hormones and we split it 4 ways. I would love to get a vegetable co-op going but just havent had the time.
