My OH (Black Jamaican) has been to Latvia and Poland.. he said he did get looks, but nothing more than that... no worse than what he would get in a rural part of the UK.

He did stay mainly in tourist areas and was with a group of white guys, so maybe it could have been different in different circumstances?

 

I had been to Estonia but none of other Baltic nations. Bex,tell your OH to just be safe. RussiaLove,we know not all Eastern European women are bad and most brothers would love to visit them. It is just the White males there made it difficult. I remember a penfriend of mine whom I wished I got in touch with wanted to meet me in Poland instead of Liev in the Ukraine. I don't give up on Eastern European women and I will date one if happens.

Ya'll need to stop rollin over yourselves save for Cartoon, the rest of you Americans need to stop being scared of your own shadow. Are there random (and not so random) acts of violence against Black Men (mostly Africans) in Eastern Europe? Sure, is it problem for YOU to go over there? Likely NOT.

Of course most of you are of the mindset that theirs generally nothing wrong with US/CA/UK women and I beg to differ. Besides a couple of people on here with Passports, most of you need to stay home, find somebody local to you and I'll see your arse in divorce court in less than 5 years (71% as of 2008, 90% initiated by WOMEN).

Name one "Black Male" friendly country? Not even the United States is safe for most Black Men, so what DIFFERENCE does it make if you visit another country where the chances of something happening to you is SLIM AND NONE? Does it make you feel better that most of the things racially motivated come from somebody that speaks fluent English and has pasty skin??

Alright now with that established -

It is true more Russians than Jews were killed during WWII, also Stalin killed thousands Russian of people he's no Saint. Europe is no Pie in the Sky Utopia, but not being German, Polish, Bosnian or from some other struggling Eastern European country has its advantages and people generally equal opportunity hate Germany for what happen some 60 years ago, and even in WWI. Even French children fathered by German Soldiers are generally shunned by fellow French, whatever Europe has problems with Ethnicity not so much Race, though Africans and Turks (and other Muslims) are increasingly looked upon negatively.

At the end of the day however, as a Black Man, maybe the most hated being on the planet, you are DESIRED by many women around the world, you can either put your blinders on and ignore it or get your passport and explore, there are certainly more terrible things to hear than some Ukrainian women say "Fuck Me Harder" in Russian -

I will never going to visit that country in my life. Knowing that there's HIGH rate of Racism there, so it's not worth to visiting that country.

 

Did you just ignore DJ4monie post NC? seriously, if you don't want to visit, nobody will make you, but there's as just as much racism in 'that country' as there is in other countries you want to visit, such as Japan.
My white friends have people running up to them (outside of Kyoto and Tokyo) going 'white foreigners!!! white foreigners!! look at their eyes!!' so it really won't be such an easy ride going there as a black man unless you just stick to Tokyo. I mean fair enough if you do, they have musical toilets and vending machines selling used panties, what more could a man want.

 

What's funny about this, is that I feel the same way about North Carolina.
