I'm watchin' TLC and I see the promo for a new series "Our Little Life" about a husband and wife who are "little people". It's a reality show with cameras following them around their daily lives. Ok, do they need ratings that bad? I mean do they need to exploit these people like this? Do they think they will eat, sleep, work, laugh, cry and love any differently than anybody else? WTF?? Maybe the show is just to prove they do, but I seriously doubt that is their motive in all this. Are we that lame of a society to want to see this?

Sorry, I just had to vent. Can't we just accept people and love all?

If "tall" people can have shows about "nothing" why can't "little" people?

Can't forget about TLC other show, "19 Kids and Counting". There is no escape from "reality" television. :(

Well, they have "Little People, Big World" and the "The Little Couple". So I don't see whats wrong with adding another one to the mix.

yea, i was gonna say, there have already been little people reality shows. they might as well keep the crap tv ball rolling. i mean how many reality attention-whore dating shows is vh1 going to have?

which came first, the chicken or the egg... was it the tv and film executives that killed creative entertainment, or was there a big falloff in the imagination of the writers that forced the hands of the executives to go cheap and push these fast food shows and movies? my theory is they went hand in hand... like a chicken & cheese omelette. lol

I hate reality shows. There's no escaping away from reality shows. I heard some stupid people said that reality shows is considered being part of pop culture!

    Pop culture?! Hell no!

    LOL! I like that!

I think it went hand in hand too.

In retrospect, if they didn't have the ratings/viewers, they wouldn't keep making them.

Obivously people find their own lives so boring and ordinary they rather watch other people.

The only reality shows I find interesting have to do with giving the little guy some exposure. To many properties in America are driven by money and not talent.

That said, I can't stand Idol...

But here's my favorite "reality" show -

As I said before, and I opine again..

The only reality shows I ever watch are the TV news (reality for the *most* part, anyway)...
