Handbags, ladies??

My name is Sin Mari and I'm a bagaholic. I currently own 19 handbags and love every one. However they're all budget bags and it is my dream to own one (or more) designer bags. I have a list and to buy everything on that list I think I'll have to win the lottery. Or failing that, become a hooker.

I don't own any designer bags. I do have a fairly large collection (majority are in storage).

I'll post some that I like from online and share them with you.

Like Espy, I'm a big shoe fiend. Besides shoes and purses, I have a big earring collection too.

 

Gotta say Sin, you have great taste in handbags!

I'm not a handbag person myself, and I don't carry one. My daughter though loves Juicy Couture and Betsey Johnson, and has several of those bags.

 

i don't carry one in my day to day life either espy, i walk out the door keys, purse & phone in hand and pocket. oh and my 5 year old daughter has more handbags than me as well

 

That's me right there. I tend to do the same thing with purses that I do with shoes: latch on to a favorite or two, and never really expand beyond that. I mean, I have more than one pair of shoes, but 9 times out of ten, I'll be in the black leather knee-high boots. I've got a few purses, but 9 times out of ten I'm carrying the same certain one.

But my earring collection's redonkulous. LOL.

 

i'm beginning to realise that the girly gene was not added when i was created. i only have one pair of earrings and i never wear them. no shoe or bag collection. i think i need some serious help

 

Yeah I like bags used to have a bigger collection but due to lack of space I gave quite a few away to my 18yr old niece, I've left myself with four decent ones a Pink Suede Jasper Conran, Pink Snakeskin Julien Macdonald, Soft Beige Leather Julien Macdonald and a gold Charlotte Reid I really like the gold one because its so well made and it's not a brassy gold, very mellow looking.

 

you have excellent taste sin mari:smt049lippy loves handbags...i used to be the handbag manager @neiman marcus years ago...it was a really bad habit...when it comes to designer bags it is all about quality vs. quantity...i feel the same way about shoes and jewelry...

 

Gotta agree with you on that Lipstick. If given the choice between 4 pair of $20 shoes or 1 pair of $80.00 shoes, I'm going with the $80 pair every time. That's one area where more expensive almost always equals better made and more comfortable. I love shoes, but I'm not going to wear uncomfortable shoes just because they look good, or because they were a good buy.

 

This is the only bag I spent any significant money on


Then I have a Brighton red leather bag and a brown Chi by Falchi - the rest is cheap stuff.

Does anyone else collect Perfume? I use them there not to just look at, but If i see some on sale or an interesting bottle I buy it, plus it doesn't take up loads of space, I might turn to earrings as well very space concious obsession.

 

A lot of perfume gives me headaches, or stuffs me up like I have a cold, so I'm pretty picky about what I buy. I have two that I like, and one of them is really good stuff, I mean I put it on and it's makes my own mouth water, how weird is that? However my daughter is like you Francie, she loves the pretty bottles and has quite a few setting on her dressing table. I like the way they look, but if I'm never going to wear them I don't see the point in spending money on them.

 

I don't. I've been wearing the same perfume since '90.

Hopefully you'll join in with us earring collectors. It can be addictive...lol

 

I don't think I'm a big earring collector, however I just looked and I have more pairs of earrings than I do shoes...

But since my daughter and I share shoes and jewelry, I just divide the number in half and I feel better.

Most of them I wear, a few I don't, because they really are to strong for me, like moon and stars too pungent, but the dark blue glass is nice, I recently got myself the Bond girl 007 perfume, it's smells alot like Contradiction (which i also have lol) and the bottle is shapped as a body with a great collar £16 which is like $25 i think, what a bargain.
My favorite smell i have at the mo is D&G Light Blue, so fresh.
Alot of people I know are a One Perfume woman, my mum never wears anything but Opium it used to be Poison but thank god she toned it down, over the years I have bought many different ones even recently Donna karen which I luvvvv and she turned her nose up, it was alright though because it was put into my collection:tonqe:

 

What Perfumes do you girls use Espy and Inner beauty? maybe I need them in my collection.

A lot of department stores don't carry it anymore, I bought my last bottle online.

It smells very sweet. I don't like flowery perfumes. I'm also into fruity lotions and stuff, so that's probably why I love it. I've done perfume testing to try other kinds and move on, but I didn't like any of them.
