Exercise Equipment - What Do You Use?

I recently came across something called the Tower 200, by 'Body By Jake,' and it has got me thinking about going radical with resistance bands, like I've never done before. I know some of you other cats have been using multiple varieties, but I've only used power push-up bands. I never thought about having bands hanging from doors, soccer goal posts, monkey bars, toilet stumps, etc.

I wanted to see how people were liking the Tower 200, so I went over to bodybuilding.com and came across nothing but piss reviews about it. Most fellow lifters were suggesting Bodylastics resistance bands, for half the price of the Tower 200, along with better construction.

I think I'll be ordering the Bodylastics stuff soon. I haven't used an olympic barbell in years, but on the bright side, I've been getting familiar with alternatives to building muscle and strength.

Something I Love using right now ( this is a Girly one) is an 8kg Medicine ball was doing 5 sets of twenty sit ups on the bench after a while it was getting too easy, so the last couple of weeks I've added extra weight started with the 5kg and now the 8kg ball, it's so comfy to use much better than just using a plain free weight, going to buy a 5kg for home as they aren't very costly.

In terms of equipment use, it depends on what I'm doing for the day @...

latest edition to my fitness arsenal. I was looking for an alternative to outdoor cardio, and decided to pick up one of these (an indoor rower). I live in an apartment with thin walls (for now :p), so anything that makes a lot of noise or thumps on the floor is a no no. Plus I'm a bit on the tall side, so that limited my options for other pieces of equipment, that I have not tested out before. Plenty of stationary bike buyers, whining about knees hitting the handlebars, over at amazon.com.

When I move out, I'll probably look into getting a decent elliptical or one of those swanky tread climbers.

Rowers are great for cardio and workouts in general. The first time you use one you'll discover muscles you didn't know you had.

Has any of you ever tried P90x?
I had reached maximum capacity once and figured I better deflate by at least 20-25 pounds when I saw an infomercial for P90x workout regimen about 8 or 9 months ago. I don't normally watch or pay attention to infomercials but this particular one captured my interest and the techniques they use made sense to me. So I just happened to mention it at work and my colleague actually had the DVDs and lent it to me. So I tried it for about 5 weeks to only lose 6 lbs in the end. But it actually looks like I lost about 20 lbs. Waist size shrank from 36 inches to 32, slimmed down quite a bit and got toned as well. Though it has been several months since I have hit the Gym, I have somehow been able to maintain my post P90x workout body so far.

For my cardio segment I use a elliptical machine the Sole E25 which has a number of nice features.

For my strength segment I use York equipment for weight training.

I'm a member of 2 gyms. One gym i use for their indoor pool only, and the other for their free weights and treadmills.

The only unique training eqpt I have at home is an indoor trainer for my bike. The back wheel attaches to it and I can ride it in the house as if I'm outside. I also have free weights and a treadmill at home.

LOL, I know a lot of people here dont like Tyler Perry - but I couldnt help thinking of a House of Payne episode where there is a miscommunication about the sons (Malik?) masturbation habits.
