Honestly since Obama got elected I have not been so quick to cry race. Of course it does still exist but you have to look at the overall situation from both sides. Political correctness is such now that every little slip of the lip gets jumped on, like Harry Reid or Chris Matthews' comments. Both good-natured guys but not used to doing the PC dance.

I laughed it off when john stewart made fun of it. I believe wyatt was the main contributer to that. I know what they meant. After their long careers in american politics, they should have been able to put it in a non controversial manner. You got to love the daily show. lmao

 

Also at least one of the critically wounded was white....I haven't seen a picture of the staffer who was shot and in critical condition though.

 

i saw on the news that this woman was also under federal investigation at one time for prepping/building a mail bomb...evidently she was planning on sending it to her boss (different employment than this original story) because he was about to give her a review or something of that nature...no charges were ever filed and she never suffered any consequences...i get the impression that she is just not quite all there...no one was safe around her...she was like a ticking time bomb that could have gone off at any moment...i don't think that this incident is about race...she is a woman that should have never had access to a gun...some women are just too emotional...can't grasp the reality of the situation and can't see past the act to the consequences...especially if she had gotten away with speculative crimes before...

it amazes me what some people consider the end of the world...it wasn't like she couldn't get another job...so she didn't get tenure...i wonder how she is going to like prison:smt107

 

additional details were released today in the media...evidently there were 12 people in the room all sitting around an oval table...30 minutes into the meeting she gets up grabs her gun and shoots the person next to her and then systematically works her way around the table until the gun jams...the people on the opposite end of the table all hit the floor...the woman she was about to shoot when the gun jammed pushed her out of the room...so she did not select people to shoot she just went down the line and probably planned to kill everyone at the table
