My, oh my... Dig this, she (was) a big fan of N'Sync or 98 Degrees or whatever boyband was big in the late 90s. She had went to several of their shows. But hey, Justin's a playa-playa! The would make a great couple. And Jessica would do much better without him. The schmuck!
She's probably joking. She's been in Hollywood now and knows how it works. I doubt she's hoping it'll be a Shrek situation.
This is nuts. Everything in the universe is the Black Man's fault: For the life of me I can't parse that. I'm not sure just *how* any of this is related to "Black Men putting [their] race down". LOL. But it always comes down to that eventually.
I will say, I think the title hater site gave to that story was rude & mean. It's unnecessary to treat that Woman that way. But then, it's hater site. It's what they do.
Sounds to me like the Girl has a sense of humour and was making a harmless joke about dates, what a horrible thing to be posted, I hope she doesn't see all the nasty comments made by Black/White men and women, some people are just Jealous because she looks the way she does and still! made herself sucessful.
I've been reading comments on imdb and boy, people are saying she'd be perfect if they made a movie about Hattie McDaniel. People are straight trippin'.
Haha...I can't believe this. Out of all the people on here, you (JordanC) actually said that. Miss positive, you probably agonized for minutes before you hit submit.
I know sometimes I lose it and digress. Really I was just thinking back to the is mixed better discussion.......... see here: http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12430&highlight=rain+pryor
What did I tell you. They will give her an Oscar. They will try to remake the 1939 Hattie McDaniel moment. If she says something like "I want to be a credit to my race" they will cum in their pants. If not her, then Mo'nique will get one. Like I said, they stacked the deck this year.
They do this to make Black people look even more foolish. Why not nominate Paula Patton or Mariah Carey? I'm sure they gave performances just as compelling. But the academy wants to focus on Gabby and Mo'Nique. Both are modern-day mammies. The same anti-BM forces celebrates the obese BW to make the a mockery us. Notice how Paula is on this month's issue of Women's Health and Precious is on the cover of Ebony, looking like King Kong.
I study this stuff as I'm planning on going into the entertainment industry. Especially as an aspiring Black filmmaker, I have to pay attention to images and the sort. The entertainment biz, singing, acting, etc.., is all about fantasy and image. People want to escape reality. People want to see Paula and her likes on the screen. People want to see strong, heroic characters and dashing romantic men (though in Black film, this stuff is a rarity as the stuff mostly done is foolishness).
