Sadly I read the entire interview and that boys got bigger issues than being a suspected racist IMO. He comes across as an egocentric Narcissist. He really doesn't express himself well, or rather he does express himself but there's a lot that should just remain unsaid. Kinda funny coming from someone who sings 'sensitive' romantic crap, and is apparently big with the ladies.
It has to be said. White boys or other boys aren't bullied by egg-headed dweebs who are so concerned about the their womens' low self-esteem (where it gets so bad its at the point of comedians writing relationship books).
At first I was in shock...because I only heard th' telly (I was in the kitchen fixin' a snack) an' I thought....after all these years...DECADES...this blke who is a renowned Bluesman and allegedly worships the classic Bluesmeisters before him....now sez sumthin' like...THIS? An' what's with him goin' out with gals WAY YOUNGER than he?? Then my old, crusty, corroded cerebral circiutry (YOU try keepin' YOUR head straight after being up for 2 days straight tryin' desperately to meet a deadline!) realized I was thinkin about British veteran rocker (of whom I am DEFINTELY a fan!) John MAYALL! My Bad.. So a bloke whom I've not heard of till this 'Andy Warhol'-ian "15 Minutes Of Fame"? Well, I don't care then.. Never heard of him *or* his music....the former until now, the latter...not in this lifetime.. Stupid is as stupid does..... OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Anyone who's ever heard him speak publicly in the past should be aware that he's a faux intellectual who's prone to engaging in the most asinine forms of self-aggrandizement. NOTHING he says, no matter how offensive it may seem under normal circumstances, is worth our collective outrage.
I'm a black woman who doesn't think he's a racist. He's just stupid. And even more annoying that John Mayer's comments were those of people who keep insisting that people who are offended by him saying he had a KKK c**k, are trying to deny people the right to be attracted to whomever they please. Nope, that's not what we're saying. We just feel that there's a way to speak your preferences without associating yourself with an unyeildingly racist organization that takes pride in bigotry and their hostility to people of color. I also feel ashamed when black women don't feel validated unless they are desired by white guys. White guys aren't some magical, mystical, monolithically perfect group of supermen. Nobody is. They're just people. Geez.
How can these ppl here call him racist when they talk shit about black ppl on the regular on here lol:smt083
Muhammad Ali may not have been attracted white women, but I bet Cassius Clay was if you get my drift. I don't believe it's possible to find an entire ethnicity unattractive. People may not act on those attractions because of race and say that they simply aren't attracted that race; however, they're simply trying to cover there own a**es.
