It depends on how you define power. Sure men hold economic and political power BUT not where I live they aren't. Warren Farrell wrote a book called "The Myth Of Male Power" and he defined power as having control of your life. Prisons - Homeless - Drug users - Shot on the streets are still majority men. If you want to see just how low some women can stoop. Pay a visit sometime to alt.support.divorce. The saddest of guys can be found in this group after age thirty, after their wife has left them for another man, taken the kids, filed for divorce, made false allegations of abuse, and lifted a large chunk of their assets to pay for her new life and new lover.

So I've realised that even if marriage goes well, women are happy. If marriage goes bad, women are happy because they get to snatch everything in sight, everything the man worked hard for. Divorce laws and pretty much law in general favours women. So women really don't have nothing to loose when getting married. It can even be a career move for them. A woman who can’t cook, can’t clean house, and isn’t sure how to hold her baby can go to court against a man who can do all of these things and STILL win custody of the kid almost every time !! And all she has to do is say that she thinks the man will abuse the child. No wonder girls cry with their boyfriend if he is not proposing. Plus they get this nice ring. It's all good for women if you think about it.

so you're talking from experience when you speak of divorce??? i certainly am as i am divorced and NONE OF THE ABOVE HAPPENED. there was no snatching everything in sight, holding children as randsom or a ring, and WE BOTH WORKED HARD FOR EVERYTHING WE HAVE. I suggest in future that before you speak on something with certainty you should know what you are talking about.

Oh I don't think he's speaking from personal firsthand experience Tarshi. From the way he worded it, I suspect this is what he's seen happen around him and he is again generalizing that all women are like this or that. It's getting a bit nauseating and old.

I agree with you 100%, before he goes spouting the perils and evils of divorce, he should go through one. Because then he might better understand we aren't all money seeking, child snatching, lying women. I should also point out that there are men who are equally capable of trying those tactics.

Women can get sex easily. Men CAN'T. Men have to put more effort in to sex. Women can have sex anytime they want. Men, unless paying for it or look like Tyson Beckford or Aston Kutcher, normally have go through the whole ordeal of courting a women if she hadn't already rejected us at hello.

Even if the a guy does get lucky this means he has passed all her test

The looks test.
The job test.
The clothes test.
The area where you live test.
The car test.

All the while she thinks she does not have to do nothing to prove herself to you. Women are comfortable with just having to sit back and wait for the inevitable to happen. Why face possible rejection and possible public embarrassment, when they can so very easily get a sex without having to make anything directly apparent ? I swear to god more women need to look at themselves in the mirror and come to grips with reality.

Most will never do anything special or influential in their entire lives. So society looks down on women who sleep around and applauds men who gets lots of women. I mean really. Is it that HARD to understand ? Look chicks, until you have a penis, you HAVE NO IDEA what it feels like to seek sex as a man.
Women are so OVER-PRICED and to be fair, it is partly men’s fault. A girl will go without sex at times if she feels she deserves a guy who is an 8-10 but only has 6s and 7s as options (approaching her). Such girls can be 5s but know that 7-8 guys want them and thus uses her overpricing to go for guys that have the highest market value. That's the problem, women are over priced and over valued this is why a woman who may be mediocre still won't go with an equally mediocre guy approaching. A girl who is a 5 KNOWS she can land a 7-8 guy without too much hassle. So therefore we have the current situation where 20% of men F U C K 80% of the woman. Thus most men are living a life of scarcity. We are being forced into loneliness because most women don’t want to give you the time of day. Just like the Quran says and I believe it - MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN HELL ARE WOMEN

 

If you are on a date with a person and that person is sitting in judgment of everything you say and do then you know what that person is? That person is someone who shouldn't be dating right now, because that person is carrying around baggage from his/her previous relationship(s).

There are TONS of people out there in the dating world who should not be dating because they haven't let go of the "wrongs" that happened to them in previous relationships. You should steer very clear of these people. They are people who have yet to look back at their relationships to see where they went wrong and found ways to fix it.

UKBlack, you are carrying around enough baggage to fill a baggage claim. I feel, from reading all of your posts in this thread that the only way that baggage can go away for you, is through seeing a professional therapist/counselor/psychiatrist. You have so much anger and frustration in you that it's scary.

If I were a woman on a date with you, you damn well better know that I'd be ending that date as quickly and as peacefully as possible and then getting the hell out of dodge and making sure you don't follow me.

You mention that you are frustrated that women have all the control in the dating world and that women are the ones in control of whether or not she has sex with you.

That's absolutely right. But you know what? Men have just as much control of whether or not they want to see a woman again, too. And they have control over whether or not they want to have sex with the woman, too. It's a TWO WAY STREET.

As soon as a woman decides to have sex with you, unless she's tied you up, then you have gained all control of her. Women should absolutely be leery about having sex with a man that they aren't 100% comfortable with, because there are way too many women who have been raped/abducted/murdered by men they don't know or barely know.

Sex for a woman is very invasive (as Athena pointed out in a previous thread). And for a man to expect every woman to spread her legs to "pay her way" for the meal is asinine. Not only that, you've basically turned her into a hooker. You're paying (with food) for a service (sex with her). I can't speak for other women, but sorry, I don't work that way.

I'll gladly go dutch on dates. I have no qualms about that. I'll gladly pick up the bill on occasion. I have no qualms about that. What I do have a qualm about is this asinine "double standard" that you think exists where a woman has to basically prostitute herself to say "thank you" for a lovely evening.

Seriously, please seek therapy for the massive amounts of baggage you are currently carrying around. Your back will break if you don't get rid of it soon.
