After the Republicans made inroads in taking my state of Virginia and New Jersey I have this feeling that they will do the same next tuesday in taking Teddy Kennedy's seat in that special election. If that happens a political perfect storm will gain momentum that will propel the Republican Party back into power as what happen in 1994. The 2010 is going to be a bloodbath for Democrats. President Obama may find himself in a situation in which he may have to shift to the center from the left to get anything done in his last years of office with a Republican majority in the senate and congress. Interesting times are coming.

That's what people were saying in 1994. For all liberals/progressives, Democrats, etc....you better be on point.

Republicans were actually powerful and united in 1994 not a bunch of seditionist, loudmouth dirtbags.

Every incumbent U.S. President loses seats in congressional elections.

    Big Deal.

The Dems will still control the House and Senate, but will lose their 60 seat filibuster margin in the Senate, which means Obama won't get ANYTHING passed in the Senate except for war funding because the GOP has made it their mission to NEVER vote in agreement with Obama on any significant legislation.

Yeah, it's no big deal. I hope the deal this time is a complete cleansing of the congress and senate to get all of those crooked clowns out of office. The american people who are the boss of those crooks will finally speak this year. The sleeping giant is awake.

Corporate lobbyists control Congress. Always have, always will.....until the system changes; term limits and major campaign finance reform.

President Obama is a weaken man now that he has experienced his worst week ever in his presidency. (1) He loses a key senate seat to Republican Scott Brown that may affect his agenda, (2) The Supreme Court ruled in lifting campaign restrictions that is going to work against his party, (3) His nominee for the TSA steps down, (4) His Federal Reserve Chief is under fire, (5) Air America is going off the air. Like i said before the president will face a political perfect storm. It started in Virginia and the Dems said no big deal, it happened again in New Jersey and the Dems again said no big deal, it happened a third time in Massachusetts and the Dems begin to discount until they found out they could not get the president's key agenda item through the Congress "Health Care Reform". The next thing the president will have to worry about is the mid term election in November.

Andreboba is right. Corporations run everything. The political system is horseshit. I representatives to represent our interests. Being an elected official just means getting more shares in Goldman Sachs and AIG. Truthfully we deserve it because as a country we are too stupid to realize that they've got us focused on ridiculous shit like race and who crashes a white house party and who Tiger Woods fucks for us to pay attention to real issues. We choose to be uneducated and we choose to allow people who fuck us over to be unaccountable. So in closing we're getting what we deserve as a people.

    True. Dont forget the Unions.

The unions are becoming more and more irrelevant with outsourcing becoming for favorable. Again another example of people not acting in their own interest. We need to stop buying products from companies who outsource jobs but rely on American revenue for their profits. We just have to stop being lazy and put the work in.

ask Kenneth Gladney about unions. Republicans don't have the market cornered on corruption. Look at ACORN and how they use blacks.
both parties get their sweethart deals as well.

Oh yeah absolutely but unions will continue to fade as consumers keep buying from corporations that outsource. It's disgusting.
