I'm an American of Caribbean decent and I have to say that I really get annoyed at the dipiction of bm only liking "thick" white women. That's so far from the truth. Like someone mentioned earlier no guy is going to pick a chunky girl over a Meagan Fox or Jessica Alba type. There's a reason these women are desired world wide. I want someone/anyone to name at least three chunky/thick girls who are thought of as hot or beautiful. I'll even settle for one as long as they're recognized world wide.

I have to agree that this stereotype is really out of hand. I am American guy and I can tell you that I am not attracted to nor do I desire "thick" women. I have actually never dated one nor do I wish to. I will admit that I am more attracted to more petite women. Yes there are BM out there that appreaciate a thick woman, but it is not all of us. People for some odd reason buy into this hype that all american black men love a thick woman and it is so not true.

I don't know US standards, but for us, 150lbs is heavy, uness you're 5"9+. No disrespect intended. As for Marilyn... I cannot understand where the argument that this woman was a size 16 comes from. I weigh 125lbs, I'm a size 10 UK and she is thinner than me. I'm sorry but Marilyn was not plus size.

I honestly feel the bm fat/thick ww myth is perpetuated by a white power structure who believes if a black man does get a ww she has to be the bottom of the barrel. It also comes from people with very low self esteem. How can anyone be happy being overweight it's unhealthy and depressing. Medical science has proven that.
One Mariyln wasn't considered plus size not even in her day and not even now. Second she wouldn't meet today's standards. She couldn't compete with the super hot women of today. Personally I think she's good looking but not hot.

Women dress sizes in the US has changed over the years. Her size 16 then, is equal to a size 8 or so today. Her measurements were recorded by her dressmaker as 36-23/24-37. He waist was undeniably tiny but looking at some nude pictures, I believe that waist measurement might have been taken with support underwear (a 23 waist is about a size 0) she had a bit of a tummy. That is not important however, she was a complete knock out and needed no imporvements.
That's the problem though, people are claiming that she was a current size 16 then, which is a stupid argument. The woman was tiny. She had a gorgeous figure, lovely thick hips and thighs and a tiny waist and a little tummy, but no way a size 16!
I never seen or heard that, I only heard size 16, I just think people forget that the sizes has changed. I just knew the sizes has changed and there is a lot about this on the internet. I love her tummy
