I just got a big lesson in how badly I have OCD.

For the record I hate hate hate community laundry rooms. But I live in an apartment building and I have no choice. I try not to think about it.

But tonight, for the first time, I felt completely violated. I know it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but to me, it is, because I would NEVER do what this b*tch just did to me.

I was about 4 minutes late getting to my clothes that were in the washer. I come to find my towels, all of my clothes and my daughter's clothes (panties, bras, everything) sitting in a ball on top of other washers because she couldn't come back to do her laundry. AND the kicker is, on the other side of the aisle was an open washer. I'm so completely pissed right now.

All I can think of is how, when I go into the laundry room and find that there aren't any open washers, I come back. I don't touch other peoples' clothes.

I feel so completely violated right now. And all I can think about is her (not sure if they're clean) hands on my clean clothes, towels, panties being put on top of washers that I don't know if they're clean.

Ugh. I hate my OCD. I know I shouldn't care about this, but I can't help it.

Sorry, needed to vent. Carry on. LOL.

I hear you Bookie. I'd have to rewash it all if that happened to me. Of course I'd also have to discuss the matter with her to ensure it NEVER happened again, especially given that there was an open washer available. That's just plain rude and uncalled for, and it's understandable that you're pissed off.

If I had the money, I would have rewashed them. As it is, I'm trying really hard to think about the hot dryer right now taking care of it all. LOL.

Yeah, I was too much in shock to talk to her about it without throttling her. She knew I was pissed though.

I was 4 minutes past the time my washers were scheduled to stop. So, she must have stood there, waited for the washers to turn to zero time and then immediately removed my clothes and put hers in because she was just about finished filling the washers up with her clothes when I got there.

I almost lifted the lids on her washers before I left so that they'd stop running. But even pissed off, I couldn't do that. I'm such a pushover. :smt085

Thanks for not making me feel like I'm what I'm feeling is wrong. LOL. :smt023

I'm pretty mellow in my old age, but there was a time where she'd of come back to find a whole lotta bleached clothes! Now I'd just resort to scaring the living shit out of her. She'd shake every time a washer hit the spin cycle when I was finished with her rude ass.

You're a good person to shrug it off Bookie.

I'm excited about next wednesday. We're having a guest speaker at school, a guy who's been working on tons and tons of big name movies for a long time now.

For instance, last movie he worked on was Avatar. Prior to that, District 9, Monsters vs Aliens, Madagascar 2, Mission Impossible 3, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest...the list goes on!

I need to make him my friend so he can help me get a job next year. lol Cause this guy has been doing the stuff I dream of doing. I'd love to get to hollywood eventually. That'd be sooo sweet.

Bookworm, I hate to hear that she did that. It sounds like that woman has no patience and should have planned her day better. I don't blame you for being upset and violated. I would too. Don't worry bout the OCD thing. Whether you have OCD or not, that woman violated ya and should have waited her turn or went to another washing machine.

I dunno. I'm nervous, cause the teachers said he's willing to look at our work, if we want him to. I don't think I have anything movie worthy! lol argh.

I kinda wanna show him my opening credits sequence and my cute fluffy kitty cat. And if I get some work done on my matte plate I'd like to show him that, too. Maybe one of my CG rooms. I dunno.

If I show him my stuff and he says it sucks I'll be crushed. But it's a great oppourtunity, so I shouldn't wuss out and -not- show him anything. Cause I mean...if he -does- like my work he might remember me, and someone with his track record remembering me is a very good thing.

    We'll see.

    Thanks for the support. :-D

Being the artiste that you are, you know that criticism can happen. However, I don't think it will in your case. You're very talented. Even if it does, then take what he says to heart and it could be a good learning experience for you. You have an amazing opportunity. Take advantage of it, even if you aren't feeling super confident that day! You'll do fine. :smt023

I went over to my friend's house to watch the Golden Globes tonight. He and his girlfriend just broke up and he wanted to drink. And I'm always up for drinking, so we got drunk on vodka, peach schnappes and orange juice. LOL. At one point we did 2 shots of raspberry vodka.

Then after the Golden Globes we watched The Hangover. Love love love that movie!! I came home and am now going to bed. I have to work tomorrow. Oops. LOL.

Luckily, my little one is spending the night at my parents house because she doesn't have school tomorrow. YIPPEE!! I'm going to be so hungover tomorrow at work. LMAO. I soooooo don't care!! :smt081

I have to agree with you Bookie, The Hangover is spectacular IMO. Sorry you're hungover, as I assume that's not a pleasant feeling to have, though having never been drunk I'm just guessing here. Though the alcohol probably made the Golden Globes more palatable. I watched about 20 mins with my daughter before deciding my time was better spent working last night. Boring as hell, and some of those women really need to either fire their stylists, or hire one.

You were right. The alcohol did make the Globes more fun. They were rather boring this year. :smt085

Although I loved Avatar, I was a bit surprised to see that it won over Up in the Air. Both are great movies though.

And yeah, I'm a bit hungover. I'm moving rather slowly today. :smt026

Me and my dad were hella laughing, because she's just like us. He said she looks like me, and likes scary movies. I was like "Whaaaa? For real?"

Of course, shit ain't guaranteed until a DNA test.

  20. Oh WOW BA!!! That is big news!!! I had a little laugh to myself at your above comment, the first thing I pictured was the episode of The Simpsons where Homer meets his illegitimate sister who is a dead ringer for him (but is incidentally oblivious to it)!
