Some times the age really is nothing more than a number, it has nothing to do with maturity. But you weren't seeking it out, so I wouldn't classify you as a cougar.

But a Sugar Daddy is some one, who finances the young girls, exchange of sex against money- the only reason why they stay with him..if it is as you say...then a cougar is definitly not a compliment..and it is seen as here in Europe
IMO there is a difference between a cougar and just a woman dating a younger man. A cougar is an old woman who dates younger men to make herself feel younger again...a woman going through a midlife crisis. This is exactly the same as an older man buying a sports car, etc. An older woman who likes younger men is just that. An older woman that likes younger men. This is a woman that has a genuine interest in the younger man she is dating, and despite the age difference, has some things in common (besides sex) with said younger man. this is MY personal definition of a cougar...others may be different. And by the way...the same definition applies to whatever the male equivalent is called.
