That IR Self-Hate Argument

When it comes to majority and minority BS. I dont go by sheer number. I go by whoever got the Gold, the Benjamins, or the power. You can look at South African history or even other African countries- the number of the WM were much less than the BM, but who had the power? certainly it was not the black man at the position of power.

Come on, there is a level of "self hate" involved in IR.

In fact, I read a psychologist journal who subjected on white women that associated exclusively with black males. His findings conveyed the notion that interracial involvement between black men and white women were intrinsically about self-esteem issues of the white women. He also mentioned that white women who have sexual relationships with blacks were [psychologically] acting out some sort of masochistic tendency and in a manner they were punishing themselves....?

There was a woman in the analysis who even admitted that she (along with her white women buddies) engaged in sexual activities with black men because she believed she wasnt good enough for white men...(?)

It's a form of psychological twisted racism, as stated by the psychologist- that these women would have sexual relations with a nonwhite because they dont feel they were good enough for white men. Some would even become straight out feminists as a defense mechanism for this inferiority complex regarding white men.

Psychotic i know, but you cant ignore the merit it has on society.......

You can twist data to support or reject just about anything. I would find any study that came to this conclusion to be suspect at best. Additionally, there are actually WW who don't exclusively date BM, and if the objective is to study IR relationships involving WW/BM, I would think including all WW who date BM would yield a less questionable and less subjective result.

So she has zero self-esteem and thinks her friends do too, that's her problem. All women aren't like that and I can guarantee you I've never felt like that regardless of a man's race.

"Self-Hate" for brothers who love women of other races? It is pure crock if you ask me. If there is any self-hate it is the expectation of a stereotype to happen like Black men with huge members going after WW or vice versa.

Hmmm, not necessarily. Its a fact that Asian men make more money aka Benjamins than any other race here in America, yet I don't see many women especially their own beating down their doors for dates. Its been said that asian men and black women are at the bottom of the dating or sexual attraction totem poll. I don't know if I agree with that, but I've heard it so many times. Black male white female and white male asian female are the most common IR couples and I believe its for a reason, mainly sexual attraction. I can go months or maybe years and not see a black female white male or asian male white female couples. But I see bm/wf and af/wm couples all the time.

 

Not that LA is the shining star of averageness of the US, but I see wm/bw pretty frequently here.

I even see them in my little sleepy suburb 19 miles out, the last one at a restaurant last Monday, I was on a date - so out of the 8-10 couples/dates there, 2 were IR.
Pretty darn good stats Ill say.

Same here in Tulsa. I see IR every time I leave the house and the largest percentage are bm/ww, but there are quite a few wm/bw couples as well. Additionally about half have their children with them.

 

Not America, but same here.
My friends and I were in a bar tonight for pre drinks and the couple sat opposite us was a BW/WM couple. When they left, another BW/WM couple came and sat there.

 

Are we now counting BW/WM couples?

That's one of the MANY reasons why that old "sisters are more loyal to the race" card is invalid.

 

Michael Jackson

I don't claim to know how often a black person involved in an interracial relationship suffers from self-hate, but I do believe that in some cases it is a real issue. In my mind Michael Jackson is the most well known, obvious case.

It is my understanding, that as a child, Michael Jackson experienced a lot teasing about his appearance, specifically the size of his nose. So later on in life we see him making all these drastic changes in his appearance, especially with his nose. He obviously had internalized a lot of the negativity he had heard about himself. Just as some black people have internalized all that has gone on throughout this country's history. (By the way, he is not the only Jackson to undergo rhinoplasty). Now people of other races undergo this procedure all the time, and probably are not accused of suffering from racial self-hatred. The difference is, Michael Jackson did not stop at just a nose job. What about the hair straightening? And if you choose to believe that he suffered from a skin disease, that still raises the question, why white make-up? Seems to me that if you are happy with what you see when looking in the mirror, you don't go through all that he did to change it. All the the physical changes Michael made, were those things, those physical characteristics that define the black race-Kinky hair, dark(er) skin, a broad(er) nose, as compared to most other races. Are we to believe that all of this was coincidence?

Michael Jackson had a song in which he said: If you want to be my baby, It don't matter if you're black or white. Oh really? It's pretty common knowledge, that he was never linked sexually with anyone black, whether it be a woman or as one his alleged victims. And it's not surprising. I'd say the last thing anyone who goes through all he did to change his appearance, is likely to do, is to then go and choose someone who looks like he used to look.
And for him to try and make people believe, that he fathered those kids with Debby Rowe, well, I can only guess that he was so delusional, that he thought that after going through his physical transformation, that he really was white, and that he could produce white kids.
Just as Michael Jackson said that it shouldn't/doesn't matter, but always chose to choose the other. There are others who will do the same thing. Because I know that I have heard myself, words said that were an obvious disapprooval of blackness, and and a desire for that which is not. And I have no doubt that some of you have too. Most of you would never admit it though, because it's much safer to play the- It's a personal preference game.

After reading this, some of you may be wondering where I stand on the subject of interracial relationships. In principal I am neither for or against them. They always have, and always will go on. Having spent 14 years in the military, and been all over the world, I myself have been involved in some in the past. But I am not exclusively into interracial dating, let alone exclusively interested in white ladies. And in my opinion as many stereotyping, generalizing, all encompassing statements are made by people who are exclusively interested in interracial relationships, as there are by those against them. There are certainly plenty on this site.
