Christmas Terror Over Detroit

We almost had an airliner with 300 people blown out of the sky today according reports coming from the media wires. What I do not understand according to reports is that the suspected terrorist was known by our government as having ties to terror networks for two years yet he was able to board a plane outside of this country and enter it try to set off a bomb as the plane was entering Detroit's airspace. I wonder if President Obama has gotten the message that this is terror and not a "man caused disaster" waiting to happen. We will be hit again. It's just a matter of time. We will go back to our entertainment and forget about it until it bite us in the ass next time. We need better profiling or political correctness will kill us.

 

Someone at TSA goofed.

 

I think the first person to be fired is that Secretary of Homeland Defense, Madame Janet Napolitano. I could not believe what she said on Meet the Press and This Week this morning that everything worked fine as the system is design. This woman has to go. Had the detonator worked on that guy the instant that he ignited it there would not have been no passenger to disarm him. According to Fox News the terrorist was seated at a window (at the skin of the aircraft) over the fuel tanks.

 

Sadly, this is, for once, *not* the case this time, m8...

The NorthWest/Delta flight originated out of Amsterdam, Holland...and it was Schipol Airport's security's responsibility to make *sure* the fella did NOT get on that flight to go Stateside.

Which, IMHO, is something of a paradox...as, when I was theree in the 1990's, I *very* distinctly remember security there being Up The Wazoo...what with all the Police marching all 'round the terminal carrying BIG machine gun weaponry...so ya *know* that they were SERIOUS about security...even in those "mellower, peaceful 'Good Old Days'"...

Something of a paradox...and *very* much a disappointment..

Somebody NEEDS to be brought up on charges for letting this happen!

All the more reason that full body scan machines should be in every airport. All this concern about personal privacy makes little sense if there is a high probability you are going to die at a random incident, which can or will happen to anyone, even you on this site someday. Think about.

And yet there will be those who will complain loudly about the safety measures inconviencing or imposing on their privacy. They should just die first. I've read lots of complaints about the rule started last week that you must sit the last hour on Intl. flights into the US with nothing on your lap. Mosty I read people saying they may need to pee that last hour. What adult can't make it one hour without peeing? :| Go pee then sleep or close your eyes.

i dont think of it that way. if we tortued the terrorist, we would be just as wrong as the terrorist. if the media didn't get a hold of this then we probably would've had a field day with this guy.

 

It's not just the 'terrorists' that are getting fed, clothed, and looked after for their ailments on the American Taxpayer's dime..

It is also 'domestic' miscreants and ruffians who are Serving Life or awaiting Death Row....if not merely serving 3-to-5, or 20-to-35, or something like that (No humming that Chicago song, please....)..

ESPECIALLY someone that might have raped, robbed, or murdered one of *your* loved ones...or even your...best friend.

The debate over 'torturing the terrorist in custody' does not, at this time, enter into the equation..

The fact that the Criminal Justice System is sheltering and providing for these schmucks *does*...
