Ain't but *one thing* ta do, Save Th' Day, Save Th' Day.... Talk to yer local PBS Station(s) and *demand* th' programme be screened there! After all, PBS is one of the *best* Stateside sources of Quality Material from outta The U.K.---especially programmes from The BBC! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
What about those of us who do not live in London? Just so you know (lol) England is a big place. Buckingham Palace is not parliment as portrayed in US films. England is not Europe but a part of it. The video by that girl from the black eyed peas which mentions London Bridge, actually shows Tower Bridge. (Black eyed peas are tasty). Africa is a continent and not a country but I am sure you all know that.
*- F.Y.I.: That's Parliament...but you're close, m8.. And *many* of the folk here *are* aware of the Geographical Correctness/Accuracies (or 'incorrectness/inaccuracies', as the case may be..)...even us Yanks Heck, *some* of us are aware that Canada is *not* a part of The U.S.A. As for The BBC screening is concerned...of course it'll play *outside* of London, as well, m8 (via BBC North, BBC Wales, BBC Scotland, et al...not to mention in Sverige (Sweden), Suomi (Finland), ad infinitum..with *all* the approppriate translation subtitles beneath, yes?) Just to set th' record *straight* for good and for all, yes? OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
*- F.Y.I.: That's Parliament...but you're close, m8.. Damnnnn I guess it is back to English class for me. The comments are supposed to be humour I guess I wont take up stand up comedy.
Don't feel *too* bad,m8.. Mebbe not stand up comedy...But ya *might* consider animation scriptwriting..:smt004 Just a *thought*...That's what EIENSTEIN said.. OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Watching it now very much in love with Ashley Walters, his acting is fantastic. Will give my full verdict later.
So what is the verdict? I thought it was a bit naff and not really much to do with IR relationships but the deeds men (as a race) get up to. Will wait and see after the second part. My mum watched it she said she has read the book also, the realisation then suddenly dawned on me, my mum is a ww who loves black men and my dad vice versa.
I thought it was really slow starting, to the point of being boring. The sex scene was rather steamy, seeing Ashley Walters' bum was the most interesting part of the film But his acting was brilliant, aswell as the guy who play Gilbert. The narrator was pointless too. The second part is on next Sunday, so hopefully it will be a little more interesting and more to do with IR relationships.
I'm hoping it's just a slow burner and the next 90 mins on Sunday will have a bit more going on, Soulthinker
I agree with most of the comments here. It had a relatively slow start. Although, it's not easy to do an IR drama well. Who knows what politics go on behind the cameras. I'll hold full judgement, until we get the final part.
Bex,yes I bet it is tired for the first few minutes but,it is better than nonething besides, thank goodness you don't live in the US where there are few movies of IR on tv. Cheers to Brit TV.
