Someone tried to do that before have a different language section and threads, I think he got shot out of the sky as Webmaster can't be exspected to speak various languages and he needs to moderate what's being said.

If you join an English speaking website and you can't speak English then you have a problem. I can understand 3 languages other than English, but in company of those who don't speak those languages I consider it rude to jump around language wise and not speak what everyone can understand. People start to get paranoid when you change languages and think you are talking about them. ;)

I always feel wierd to write english with people who speak German, but this is an english forum...
it is something diffrent when from time to times there drops something out in German or so, but that is ok....

  6. (Chris and I have already had one thread in German, and as this thread is specifically entitled, "Thread in Foreign Languages", anyone who can read English can understand that English won't be a big factor in it.)

It's not a matter of being disrespectful. How many languages would you have the English speakers learn to accomodate others? If someone shows up and only speaks Mandarin Chinese you want us to learn it to be respectful? You are ummm..........nuts.

That was one of the reason for this thread. I felt strange to reply in a thread with a special topic in German. Out of the reason that people could think there would be something special going on (against them) behind their back..

You are right, but we were repeating all in English so that others on the forum could follow. So there was no reason to be suspicious in any way..On the other hand, if people like to talk bad about some one , I guess there are a lot of possibilities for (chat, private email)

That could be really a problem.. webmasters responsibility and ability to follow the conversation.

Generally it was thought as help for people, which are not so secure in English. For questions, informations..
It wasn´t thought as a new forum in other languages..

i agree with jordan...if you need to speak in another language with one another take it off the forum...have a private chat...a large percentage of these threads recently seem like private chat topics:smt009

I sometimes go on German message boards typing in English. However, there are no German message boards that speak about White women and Black men.

That´s right, this forum is an "unicum" and I can understand the wish of some Africans speaking mainly french or german to be a part of this website.

    ok

Why did you never tell me? ;)

Translation: Foreign languages are OK so long as the writer (or someone else) posts a translation in English.

    Exactly Jordan.

Many of us are multilingual but choose to be inclusive of those that are not and write on this English forum in English. It's a matter of manners.

Well what Webbie said is translated in a correct sense.I did the translation and I have no interest in messing up the meaning of something that already seems to be a problem topic ^_^

I thought I did, but you didn't want to, so I left the matter there!!
