I think those who support Carrie Prejean have a case, in regards to how she is being unfairly treated by the left. I'm liberal, but leaning toward being Independent, and even I can see her being unfairly slammed, for being called a bigot just because she believes only in traditional marriage between a man and a woman. Although I disagree with some of her political views, I do agree with her on marriage.
You're entitled to whatever opinions you guys have. However, the validity of said opinions is lost when it unnecessarily encroaches on another's rights. As the expression goes, your right to swing your fist ends where my body begins. Fact is, you can think homosexuality is immoral or should be illegal or whatever, but that does not mean others have to conform to that opinion. Same with marriage. She is a bigot because she fits the definition.
Wrong. I don't think being gay should be illegal and immoral at all. Gays have the right to do whatever they feel, except get married. That doesn't equate to be being prejudiced. Likewise, Carrie is not a bigot for believing only a man and a woman should be married, that doesn't mean she hates gays. She is unfairly being called that by the left, in which there was a history of blatant hatred of gays and minorities prior to the Civil Rights movement.
Just because she (allegedly) limits her bigotry to one issue doesn't make her any less of a bigot. You could just as easily claim that she's not a bigot because she believes gay people should have the right to do whatever they feel, except vote. Or that she doesn't hate gays, she just doesn't think they should have the same landlord/tenant protections. Or the right to adopt. Or maybe she "just" doesn't think they should have equal employment laws. A little bit bigoted is still bigoted.
Wow, how did I miss this nonsense? Prejean was not attacked or ambushed in any way by King. King never goes after anyone. He is the master of softball interviews. The only thing more farcical than the way that Prejean behaved herself on his show is the fact that you repeatedly claim to be a Democrat after posting these inane rambling attacks on Liberals. BTW Prejean was not underage in the sex tape. That's yet another thing that she has lied about.
I have to agree. What if the argument was that she didn't feel black and white people shouldn't get married since traditionally it's always been people of the same race getting married. She is just another person who wants others to stop living their life the way they want to just because she may be uncomfortable with it.
