I saw this question somewhere else and think it´s interesting..

How do you use the telephone when dating? If you give out your number, do you expect to get a call immediately, the next day, or the next week? If someone gives you what you discover is a fake number, how do you feel about that?

Do women use the telephone and have different expectations for the initial call than men? Do most people text instead of call? Do older people use the phone differently than those in their teens and 20s? Just how do singles use the telephone in dating these days..

When I give someone my phone number and I'm not too generous with giving out my digits then I do hope they will call me within the next few days. If after a week I haven't heard from him I take it he wasn't that interested in me.
As far as giving fake numbers... nobody ever gave me a fake number and I don't give fake numbers to men either. If I don't want a man to have my number I will simply keep my number to myself.Lol.

Many men nowadays check the phone number immediatly in front of you, to check, if it´s correct (how they say)-this must have a reason...

That's true. They probably have recieved a few fake numbers in past and just wanna see whether or not you really gave them the right number.Often they are actually quite tricky and say"Hey let me ring your phone so you got my number,too.Lol."
This doesn't only serve the purpose of us having their number right away but he also sees whether he was tricked or not

  5. I send a text, not that I like texting, but it's slightly less intrusive for the wallflowers, and I lengthen it to let her know who she gave her number to...

Ladies, lemme say...I think it's awfully nice of you both to converse in English, when your common native language is German. Ich, am wenigstens, weiss es zu schatzen.

    :)

Das freut mich zu hoeren. ***I'm happy to hear that. We have people from all over here. Mostly from English speaking countries but some from Russia,Germany, etc too. It's best to stick to English since we all speak it more or less, whether as native or foreign language. That way everybody has a chance to understand you and contribute/quote.

Well after 11 years of English lessons in school and dating English speaking men I would feel embarassed if I needed an hour to respond to your post :)

  11. Unwarranted modesty, yet another defining trait of modern Germany. Your English is DAMN good, even your nickname is a cunning play on one English word split into three.
