Hopefully you have many, many, more meaningful reasons to be grateful for your wife rather than just the amount of melanin in her skin.
I know what you mean. You really couldn't say these type of things back in the day. Makes you proud to be a black man in America huh?:smt003
I dunno Chris, in the eyes of we darker men who love WW, yes it does make you special. If I were married, I'd always be proud of my wife, and she were white, I'd be a little bit prouder still, BECAUSE she is white. It may be called a kind of a positive racism by some people, but I don't care - I just love WW, and I don't make any apology or excuse for that.
I've said this before, but it needs reiterating. If I was dating a guy who was happy I was white because of social conditioning, and I became aware of it, I would leave. Physical attraction is one thing, but desiring arbitrary factors of existence which have been given status due to hundreds of years of discriminatory attitudes is another. I can't help my whiteness any more than people can help their blackness, or their height, eye colour, body hair, etc. Appreciate the aspects of my character which I choose and not the things I can't change.
HOLY SHIT!!!! The wife is WHITE!!!!! Call the kids!!!!! And I thought nothin' could be any more interesting than a bucket of pig shit.
There is nothing wrong to be proud of your wife, even of her "being white". What I mean is the sequence of qualities, you are proud of her. It makes us women feeling used,if we have to think that a man was choosing us mainly because we are white. Our personality has to be loved at first, otherwise it is very insulting. And we girls are afraid of that possibility, I guess..
There's the most important part, you want a unique attractant for your man, and most crucially of all, an attractant that no other girl can offer. Being a white woman, while obviously a lovely thing in itself, is certainly not unique.
