  1. First day back at the weights after a 2-week flu-induced layoff. Only hit 70% of my prior poundages, but I'm just glad to be back in the game at all.

Still, lost just over an " from my gut during that time, on target to see my abs in 7 weeks, for the first time ever. Best Christmas present I'll have ever had.

    :)

just got a call to say the doctor wants me and kaya in next tuesday for the seasonal flu jabs and since kaya is under 5 with heart and lung disease and a neurological condition he wants her vaccinated for swine flu at the same time ( they will decide on the day if they want me done too )

arrrrrrgh wasnt prepared for that. seasonal flu jab im not worried about shes had it every year since she was born but do i really want her having a vaccination thats really not been tested out and a high percentage of doctors are refusing for themselves?

my friends gonna go nuts when he hears, hes into the illuminatti conspiracy theorys and believes the vaccine is to either kill us off or give them control over us ( not helped by the fact another of my friends claims to be a member of the illuminatti, hmmmm me thinks i need saner friends )

  8. I am going home to Australia this month. My US visa was denied :smt120

So, we have to reapply, and I am not allowed in the US during this time, and it could take up to one year. It's going to be a long year, my husband will visit though.

Ahhh well. At least I will skip this cold winter. And I am looking forward to seeing my friends again.

Is your husband American? If so you should have the right to stay in the country. See below

  16. Thanks all =]

FG I was just devising an email to you to let you know but you saw it here first so that saves that job =] Oh yes, it is way too cold here!!!

Loki, being married to an American gives a person no rights to be here. The only thing that getting married does is allowing us to file the initial papers. The process really isn't that bad or overly strict, we just had problems with my husbands finances not being in proper order.

    UGH! For what reason?
I couldn't think of anything WORSE (!!!) than being here for the Christmas season. Brisbane is bad enough in summer, but Cairns. GOOD LORD! :smt088

I would just move to Mexico or Canada. Canadian working holiday visas are pretty easy to get, I think.

Good luck, JABL. I hope that everything works out for you soon.

Robina, I hope that you get the answers that you need regarding the vaccine so that you can make the best choice for you and your little one.

  19. I LOVE Cairns wet season/summer. I just love the humidity. My skin hates this dry climate.

We explored the options of both Canada and Mexico, however we later learned that I must be in my home country when applying for this visa.

My coffee pot broke this morning. This is bad news, as I'm dead without my caffeine. The good news is that it happened at an oppourtune time, since I just got paid. Even better: The new one made me realize the old one needed thrown away a long time ago. hah. Busy weekend coming, working a "really fun" event (as much description as I can get out of my bosses prior. It's pretty hush-hush until you're actually on your way there) after I meet Nate's dad tomorrow. And more homework. >.<

Gonna see about uploading a couple commercials I did, though I'm not sure if I can find a stable enough connection to upload video. They're kinda cool, though, and I wanna put em on my web-portfolio anyhow, so it needs to be done.
