What type of person are you??

I've had good experiences with cats when I was younger, and I've had extremely bad experiences with cats as an adult.

I grew up around dogs.

The thing about cats (with me) is that they seem to be extremely unpredictable. You can't tell where you stand with a cat right away. I don't like that at all.

Dogs are completely different. The minute you meet a dog, you know where you stand with it. That I can handle. LOL.

 

I think it depends on how a cat is treated, my 2 have never bitten or scratched anyone, they're too soft! I have been bitten by a dog in the past, you can't always assume that you know where you stand with dogs either.. They can be just as nasty!

I like cats and dogs.

I always thought having a cat will be not easy, and never wanted one until recently and now i can never go back to the dogs, cats are more easy to look after and need very little time .. also i like that they not on your feet all the time ..

Dogs are great too had few in the past but always small dogs i dont like big dogs and i dont want the dogs to be near me... i guess maybe because when i was young i was walking many times home from school if we finish early because i didnt want to wait for long time for the bus.. but on the way home too many dogs around been chase many times and not funny to run as fast as you can because about 8 dogs chasing you:mrgreen:

I was talkin' to my dad tonight, and I was telling him about how my cousin flipped his car avoiding a dog in the road, and my dad was like "I remember when I bought my Volvo a long time ago, I hit a dog. I didn't see it, but I know I hit it. If it stuck on my bumper, it better enjoy the ride, cuz I'm rollin'". I DIED the fuck out. I was HELLA weak.

 

Not a big fan of animals AT ALL the idea of cleaning dog shit out of my garden puts me off having a Dog and a litter tray in the house pretty much makes me wanna hack up.
Plus cat hairs if I had to have a pet I'd probably go for a dog, a little little tiny dog that could fit in my handbag.

Although i do love the look of cats some of them are so beautiful, my fav being a British short haired blue.

I think a decision will have to be made pet wise in the next year or so, as my kids desperately want a pet and I want them to exsperience the responsibility of caring for a pet,
coupled with the benefits of having an animal, we always had a dog as a kid a short haired Jack Russell and we also had a Tan Staffordshire bull terrier both naughty pain in the arse animals ie never follow a command but overall very loving pets.

I was raised with dogs... on the bigger side - never any small dogs.
I love dogs but equally love cats and have cats because I travel to much to have a dog.

I have 2 cats and lost another one I had for 19 years 2 years ago.. all of which has never hissed at or clawed or bitten anyone..
they come when I call them.
The two I have now are rescuses and both needed a lot of work until they got where they are now as they clearly were abused and neglected (and still never bit or clawed anyone).


I dont think they are particularly outstanding as I know a lot of true pet cats that are like that... now if you talk about the outdoors cats that really dont get much interaction with humans, sure they are "streetwise" and not to be immediately trusted... I think thats where a lot of the missconception comes in. The majority of those cats have learned to not trust humans for the most part.

I also have a weakness for reptiles and have owned snakes (not big huge one that wants you for dinner), frogs and lizzards
Had a Green Iguana named Siv for years, She was very protective of me and would whip you with her tail if you came close to me when she was on my arm. She was very cool

 

I'm just an animal lover fullstop. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, fish & horses...can't think of a time in my life when I haven't been surrounded by animals. We now have 1 cat who adopted us 13 years ago, and we just adopted a dog 2 weeks ago...I'm still holding out for another horse though

 

I love animals in general, but I'm especially fond of cats. They're ridiculously smart & sensitive, they keep your feet warm in the winter, and they catch mice & random little moths that get inside the house. What's not to love?

 

lippy loves animals...we have a huge dog (mastiff) and a house full of cats...rabbit...if i lived on a farm i would have a 100 cats...i would take in all the strays...have them fixed....make them all little apartments and take care of them...my kitties are talkative...playful...sweet...each with it's own personality...no two cats are alike...they are so smart...love em:smt050​

I like cats- and have green cat eyes- and used to have a cat....

 

I'm an animal lover (and Vegetarian), but I love dogs. I grew up wit one up until 13 and then she died and we got another one who died when I was 26. I want another dog, but I don't miss walking them.

 

I fucking love cats.

I like animals in general but cats are number 1.

 

I have a cat but I love both. I don't think they should be compared as though they were toys, they're sentient beings.

I love all non-humans animals, actually.
